Hardly anyone has heard of the arrest of a Qatari couple in San Antonio. Let’s face it: not like the LSM is interested in reporting anything that could possibly make that religion of pieces look bad. Still, this isn’t about the religion itself, but about the culture which is still flourishing in the 14th century.

Federal prosecutors say Hassan AlHomoud, who is an officer in the Qatari Army, and his wife, Zainab AlHosani, who is a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, were arrested at their home and face up to 20 years in prison on charges of engaging in forced labor.

That’s right, my friends. They have been charged with keeping SLAVES. And the icing on the cake? The husband is an officer in the Qatari army, undergoing training at Camp Bullis. Not exactly a poor, illiterate couple from the Middle East who didn’t know any better than to bring slaves into the U.S. Meanwhile, not a peep about this from CAIR, or from any other group. If it had been a white couple holding slaves from Bangladesh and Philippines, the outcry and condemnation would be deafening. But since they hail from a *cough* Islamic country, you get crickets.

Frankly you would think that with the slavery charges, the NAACP would chime in. Their inaction is even more unsettling. They are the mouthpiece for every single “African-American” who is demanding reparations for slavery, and to ignore a present day case of it is not just egregious but also helps to underscore that their mission isn’t about righting a wrong or eradicating the practice, but rather about getting a quick buck from people who had the misfortune of being born in this country without the approved melanin content.

CAIR has a history of ignoring the bad stuff so I’m not surprised to see they haven’t addressed this issue. The Dallas chapter is probably still moaning about Pam Geller’s contest. But I am sure that soon enough, they will be clamoring for the state to release this couple on the basis of racism because they were just giving those poor slaves a chance at a new life. After all, a new apartment with a brand new pallet to sleep on is a vast improvement from what I can only imagine they “enjoyed” in Qatar.
