Sustainable Development Goals
The University of Carthage (UCAR) in Tunisia is actively engaged in promoting the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through various initiatives and programs. As a multidisciplinary institution, UCAR offers 289 diplomas across different levels of education, including preparatory cycles for engineering studies, Licenses, Masters of Research, Professional Masters, National Engineering Diplomas, and Doctorates. UCAR's efforts align with several specific SDGs, notably:
- SDG 3 (Health & Well-being) – Research on health challenges.
- SDG 9 (Innovation & Infrastructure) – Advancing sustainable industrialization.
- SDG 13 (Climate Action) – Projects tackling climate change
UCAR's in the 2020 THEWUR Rankings by Subject
UCAR achieved a good position in the 2020 World University Rankings by subject, published by THE. The university was ranked in the 601-800 group for Engineering and Technology and in the top 700 for Computer Science.

For the second consecutive year, the University of Carthage is featured in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject, 2021 edition. This ranking lists the world's top universities across eleven disciplines. In 2021, the University of Carthage was ranked in five disciplines, with a notable entry in "Business and Economics."
