  • I use language models for personalized learning of computer science.
• March 2023 - March 2025: Postdoctoral Researcher, Department of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Aalto University, Espoo, Finland.
  • In the Intelligent Robotics group I work on situation awareness and human-robot interaction, with a focus on using foundation models for robotic applications.
• January 2007 - October 2016: Software development
  • Before my academic career, I worked for ten years as a software developer in industry. I have lead small teams and mentored junior colleagues and I gained expertise in the full software development lifecycle – from gathering customer requirements through creating system architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of products actively used by customers.

Organizational Experience in Academia

• I am part of the organizing team of an IV 2025 Workshop on Safe and Trustworthy Autonomous Driving.
• I was one of the organizers of an IV 2024 workshop on autonomous vehicles.
• I was in the organizing committee of a student research workshop in 2021.
• In 2019 I was lecturer in a tutorial on Latent Structures for Natural Language Processing, presented in ACL.
• In 2019, I was the lead organizer of a shared task on Fact-Checking in Community Question Answering.
