trapeze magazine
a twitter-based speculative fiction magazine
Twitter fiction/poetry is a form of micro literature that is defined by character count. trapeze magazine wants to spread these 140 character powerhouses (INCLUDING spaces and punctuation) so that the mundane, empty cracks of time that most people don’t know what to do with can be filled with something useful.
The main purpose of trapeze magazine is to provide a stable and strange twitter lit venue. Twitter lit makes you think; our magazine will give you tiny worlds you can escape to, from alien planets to zombie plagued concrete jungles. trapeze magazine features anything of the surreal and bizarre, horrific and steampunk. If you are looking for a diversion, we have one. trapeze magazine is not a main stream literary market and it never wants to be.
trapeze magazine publishes one twitter story/poem every day, up to five per week. Stories and poems will be posted on Twitter, @trapezemag, and here on the webpage, as well as on our Facebook page. At the end of every month, old stories will be archived to make room for new material but all publications will remain in the files of the internet until the end of time.
trapeze magazine was founded by Jessica Otto, and is edited by Stephen Ramey. Please direct all questions to trapezemag (at) gmail (dot) com.
Thanks for reading, enjoy!
