What makes IT Agent stand out in patching?

Patching is fundamentally broken. The overwhelming majority of patches can be applied automatically with no risk of disruption, yet legitimate apprehension among remediation teams to auto-patch most software systems persist due to the potential disruption risk.

The challenge is knowing which patches are safe to apply routinely with automation and which require human involvement. This is where IT Agent's patent-pending platform provides data and insight into the experience of others that have implemented the same patch to identify which are likely to cause disruption. In addition, we provide a frictionless toolset to automate vulnerability remediation when it’s safe, give you an alert where patches are likely to be disruptive, and ultimately reducing MTTR (mean time to remediate) and manual effort required to patch and allowing the security team to sleep more soundly.

How do I get setup with IT agent Patching?

Simply sign up, install our lightweight agent on the end-machine, and data will be reported to the IT Agent platform. There, you will see a live feed of patches available, organized by severity, platform, and application. Remediation telemetry is aggregated, and you will be able to set any rules you would like, and manually patch critical fixes that you want to prioritize.

Can I schedule patches?

Yes! You can schedule patches during periods where it will minimize disruption, and IT agent will be sure to remediate in this window to ensure your devices are up to date without workforce interruption.

How does Autopilot work?

Users set up their own rules that govern when their devices are auto-patched based on a number of conditions, such as how disruptive a patch has been on other networks, and their own operational risk tolerance.

For example: if a patch has been installed 10 or more times on other networks, and it has been disruptive or caused something to break less than 1% of the time, automatically apply that patch.

Operators can also apply patches that don’t meet their rule specificity through normal means via the IT Agent platform and either 'Fix Now' or 'Schedule'.
