I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. Dogs are people, too. I lost my springer spaniel of 14 years, last year. It was devastating. Time wil help you heal, but I know what you’re going through right now.
It never gets any easier no matter how many times you go through it. That’s the only problem with dogs. They don’t live nearly long enough. I guess they just get it right quicker than most critters and don’t have to stay as long.
Big hugs for ya. I know far too well how tough it is. So sorry for your loss.
Looks like you had a pretty good guy there.
Honestly the toughest thing I had to go through. No doubt it hurts. He’ll be around to help you when you meet the next one someday. Just ask Harriette (aka Poop-Doggie-Dog).
I’ve never had a pet that crossed that threshold (most I lost were traded for guns & drugs or got run over on the highway), so I can’t imagine being able to see it coming.
So sorry for your loss, hugs and warm wishes (or cool wishes, swirled into an icy adult beverage, if you prefer) from me.
Aww hell.
I hate this for you.
There are no words. I send you all the german shepherd love in my house, from them and from me. My heart hurts for you friend.
Champ was a handsome fellow and, as a good shepherd does, he did his people well. You’re in my thoughts. My two shepherds send kisses and loves on your loss. They both recommend (because they both were) a puppy right away. It is not disrespectful to your faithful lovely companion to go ahead and give another dog who needs love a home and some good loving.
I, too, am very sorry for your loss. I have recently said goodbye to one of my cats. It is never easy to say goodbye. Champ was obviously loved, and will be missed.
He may be gone from your arms, but he’ll never leave your heart. May God’s peace be with you at this sad time {{{hugs}}}
Sweetheart, I’m so sorry for the loss of your furry loved one. In the less than four short months I’ve had Einstein, I have come to the point where I can’t imagine my life without him.
I am so sorry for your loss. If you check out my blog, you will see a couple posts about my cat that just died. She was 15. It is so hard when you lose a friend, especially one that has been in your life for so long. You know they are in a better place and at peace, but you miss them like hell and want them with you. I start to cry every time I think about my Lizzie. I pray that your pain lessens greatly with every passing day, and that you smile when you think of Champ instead of shedding tears.
