The car wash is fun to go in. It looks cool while it is washing your car. I like the scrubers, water sprayers and the air blowers. You can wash the car and you don’t even have to drive. We say “Yeah” when we get to go in the car wash. That is why it is fun to go in the car wash.

I am doing a project at school called a Science Board. We have to use stick-on letters that are one inch tall. You have to trace your title. My title is “Batter’s Blast.” The boards have graphics on them. That is what Science Boards are.
Here is a what I have on my Science Board:
Procedure:
1. Gather a wooden bat, a metal bat, 5 numbered major league baseballs and a measuring wheel.
2. Go to an open field with a parent or buddy who can pitch the ball to you.
3. Hit a ball five times with the wooden bat and measure the distance of each hit using the measuring wheel.
4. Record the distances for the wooden bat.
5. Hit a ball five times with the metal bat and measure the distance of each hit using the measuring wheel.
6. Measure the distance that each ball traveled and record the distances.
7. Record the distances for the metal bat.
8. Repeat the experiment 5 times.
9. Prepare a graph of your results.
Findings: The average distance that I hit the baseball with a wooden bat was 96.3 feet. The average distance that I hit the baseball with a metal bat was 90.6 feet.
Conclusion: My hypothesis was correct. The wooden bat hit the major league baseball farther than the metal bat.
I do not like playing tag. I only play if there aren’t any other third graders to play with who are doing something else. I do not like tag because I am not a fast runner so everyone goes after me. I am “it” a lot.
I reported to my class in current events that a school in Colorado banned tag on its playground. A lot of kids like tag, so I am glad that they did not ban tag at my school. I will just try to find something else to do.

It rained 2 days this week. We had to have indoor recess, which I hate. Here is why I hate indoor recess:
I am glad it doesn’t rain very often.

I love to watch Garfield, the movie. I am like Garfield. He is funny, he likes lasagna and he pretends he doesn’t like Odie, just like sometimes I pretend I don’t like my brother.

We had our second baseball practice today. The last thing we did at the practice was a game of Super Pickle. Super Pickle is when the whole team runs around the bases. The coaches cover the bases and have to get the runners out. If you are out, you have to sit on the bench in the dugout. The last person who doesn’t get out is the winner.
After practice, I went to a friend’s birthday party. At the party we played football, baseball and tennis. My coach from school was there. It was fun to see him outside of school. He is a nice man. The best part was I got to see my friends and we didn’t have to do any school work. It was like a really long recess!
