I can hardly believe that it has been a month that I last blogged here.
There's a lot going on in the Emert house outside of football, which is only just about to start back up for us soon! The Coach has a clinic coming up and then next week spring practice will start again. We are definitely looking forward to another exciting Tornado football season.
But....
What else is going on??
The Coach turned 36 on Feb. 21. We celebrated by hanging out at home and having some of this..
I turned 33 on Tuesday and my awesome husband made me the most thoughtful of gifts...
It's a plaque to hold my race bibs and medals from any half marathons (4 so far) I run. It will also be the holding place for the medal from my first full marathon (26.2 miles!!) next month. This explains a bit where I have been and my lack of blogging here.
I started training this year for the marathon and that takes up a lot of my free time (aside from the fact that I am mom, wife, GS Troop leader and work full time away from home). I've been keeping up with blogging about that (and my continued weight loss) over on my other blog. I'd love for you to follow me there at Just Another Mom on the Run. I think I will actually be taking all of my blogging over there once I can get everything together.
So, if you've followed along here all these years and want to continue following please visit my other blog as I will be slowly making the transition to also adding this part of my life in blog to that part.I won't deactivate here until I merge this with the other blog. If anyone has any tips on how to combine the two that would be great... as you all know I am not that tech savvy and if you really know me you know I can't stand reading "manuals" and directions a lot. lol
Anyway, I hope you are all well and again thanks for following along. I am still here and alive and well. So are the kids! In fact, Mr. Peanut has a big birthday this weekend. I can hardly believe that my baby boy is going to be a big 6 year old! We've been going silly this week trying to get ready for his party on Saturday. He is very excited to take a treat to Kindergarten tomorrow and then have a bowling party with friends.
We had a date earlier this month. I'm glad my "baby" boy still likes hanging out one on one with his mama. :)
Annabelle is great too. However, we have suffered our first broken bone. She was pushed off a swing at school during recess a week ago. Being the great mom I am, I ignored her "girl drama" Thursday evening when she got home and we agreed that if she still had trouble the next morning we would head to the dr. Sure enough she had problems. AND sure enough they told us her arm was broken! Yikes.
She is doing great though and the arm (after a week) seems to finally feel better. That pretty pink cast is no longer clean and cute. Nope, that didn't last past the afternoon when she got it! It's now full of signatures from everyone she knows! Thankfully she only has about 2 more weeks in it before we go back to the orthopedic dr to have it taken off and another x-ray to check the arm.
Soooo...
I believe that does it for the excitement at the Emert's house! Remember, for more on me and what's going on here be sure to follow me at my other blog (link above and in my side bar) as I will be gradually moving this blog over there as well and go back to one blog.
Be blessed friends!
