"All About The South"
In 1960, Jack’s fired up its very first grill in Homewood, Alabama. Our walk-up hamburger joint was an instant hit. Who could turn down our 10-cent sodas, 15-cent fries and 20-cent shakes? From the get-go, we had the best people serving up the best food you could find, and we treated our customers like family. As our community has grown larger over the years, we’ve remained committed to values that go beyond our food—like giving back. And while times have certainly changed, one thing remains the same: good food and good people make for a great time, and that’s what helps our customers step into our Southern story every time they stop by. A message from Tallapoosa Police Chief Gene Brown
Good evening everyone, and welcome to the Possum Drop! On behalf of the men and women of the Tallapoosa Police Department, I want to wish you and your families a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year. Tonight is a time to celebrate new beginnings, reflect on the year behind us, and look forward to what’s ahead. We’re glad you’re here enjoying this event with your friends, neighbors, and community. As you celebrate, I ask that you do so responsibly. Please look out for one another, be aware of your surroundings, and most importantly—if you plan to drink, don’t drive. Make a plan ahead of time, use a designated driver, rideshare, or call for a safe ride home. No celebration is worth risking your life or the life of someone else. Our officers are here to help ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable evening, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance. Thank you for being part of our community, thank you for celebrating safely, and from all of us—Happy New Year!
