A Mutant from Planet Cripton, An Origin
In 1974, a baby arrived in the suburbs of Indianapolis, Indiana from the planet Cripton. She looked like the offspring of two Chinese immigrants, Ma and Pa Wong, but something was different.
The Earth’s gravitational force made it difficult for this baby to raise her head. She couldn’t crawl and went straight from sitting to walking. Perplexed, Ma and Pa Wong took their baby to the doctor and found out: she is a mutant from Cripton!
This is her origin story.

The Relevance of ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 2 in the Era of ICE
Let’s make no mistake about this. This first month of 2026 has proven to be a disgusting era in US history, with the president’s ICE patrols continuing to kidnap and murder people on the streets of Minneapolis and all around the country. The irony of all of the horrors here is that it makes a Marvel Studios show, like Daredevil: Born Again — set in a fantastical universe — feel so tragically close to home. However, in many ways, that’s why we need Matt Murdock now way more than ever before.

Going Bananas with ‘Primate’ Star Victoria Wyant
Audiences are going ape for Primate, which surprisingly became the #1 thriller in the country this past weekend! It’s been a while since horror fans were treated to an old school creature feature, and thankfully the monkey shines of a rabid chimpanzee named Ben were what they needed to satisfy that itch. More rare than any simian-based horror movie, however, is one with prominent Asian cast members. Which is why we were so pleased when we got the opportunity to chat with one of the film’s stars, mixed-Asian actress, Victoria Wyant, who is wonderful as Kate in the new chiller!

UPDATED: Breaking Down All ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Trailers So Far
Happy New Year, folks! 2025 was definitely a tough year for many, but frankly, perhaps more so for Marvel Studios than most. While the House of Feige arguably put out a pair of its best post-Endgame films with Thunderbolts and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, none of its three releases last year grossed anywhere close to the heights of many of the studio’s previous wins.

Elaine Miles Speaks Out and Copes with Humor Following Encounter with ICE
On November 3, actor Elaine Miles was waiting at a bus stop in Redmond, Washington, when four U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers approached her, demanding to see her ID. Miles, a registered member of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, stood her ground and in what – as she described – “felt like a lifetime, but it was only maybe 30 minutes, 45 minutes long,” they were arguing.
