About
Sydnee Crain is a freelance writer and photographer from the midwest, whose pasttimes include hunting for spiritual truths beneath rocks, under fallen logs, an inch deep in soil and anywhere else Nature hides Her treasures. The poems of Mary Oliver sustain her, as do the timeless quotes of Rumi and Hafiz. She lives near the Missouri/Arkansas border, and enjoys frequent forays into the Boston Mountains. When she isn’t writing or mingling with other wild animals, you’ll find her with her 2 year old grandson, “Tuffer,” likely knee-deep in river or bending over wildflowers with a magnifying glass.

Christy, thank you! I just meandered over to your blog, and it’s delightful! After the busy weekend, I plan to spend some time perusing your recipes and your flickr photos, since the ones visible from your front page are absolutely beautiful! And yes, I go through St. Louis all the time, enroute to visit my mother in Southern Illinois, and have spent much time there. Thank you again for visiting the blog and for your kind comments…if you have a Facebook page, look me up…would enjoy getting to know you better!

Well I’ll be Sydnee! I am so glad you decided to leave a sprout on Creative Potager so we could connect. I have two volumes of Mary Oliver poetry that are either beside the computer or my bedside. Since you have already been to my blog I feel I need not provide anything further. Your work is delightfully rich and runs deep. It is like coming home for me.
