Miss Kita!

Shea just got home last night coming from Cavite. As expected everybody was excited to see her after going on vacation for almost 4days. Lolo and Lola were with her coming back to Manila then passed by at Frisco,QC. When I saw her she was sleeping soundly on the passenger seat, perhaps got so tired travelling and playing with her lola’s in Frisco.

I carried her up to our bedroom and settled her beside mommy, she woke up when mommy whispered her name. Sitting down she started talking about a lot of things, one thing we undertood was “Baby Girl”. We didnt dwell much on that thinking that its about her, so we said “Yes! You are our Baby Girl!”.

We had a small chat with Lolo and Lola, they said that one of their clients was asking how old was she and asking if she has siblings. Shea said, “Mommy Daddy lang” then they said to ask a baby brother or another baby girl. So that’s were she got that idea! hahaha.. Shea is really good at highlights and remembering them for a long time.

About the Baby Girl thing… that will be discussed by Mommy and Daddy privately ;).

Going back to bed! Shea is getting ready to sleep, I asked her if she wants me to be next to her. After saying “Yes” I started hugging her and saying “We missed you..” she moved next to her Mom and I uttered “Di ako miss ni Shea.. :((Shea didnt miss me..)” she hollered “Miss Kita!” Awwwww…. That’s it! She just made my day right and my heart just melted and kissed her goodnight… 🙂

The Call

Productivity reduced from two months ago and I have to shrink the number of heads to manage expense.

I started to manage expense versus revenue via extended breaks, early time-off or extra rest-day and worse comes to worse let go….

This is part of what stakeholders have to go through in order for their business to survive.  As much as we don’t want this to happen we need to, we have to…

Monk1:Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Monk2: Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!

Decisions should be made and with haste to save the business, things one should go through if you’d be in this position.. We could go up, down, and around… But these are affected by…

The road ahead is a little bumpy...

Change is inevitable… One thing I learned is that “letting go of fear is the key to change” and this will open you eyes on different perspective that you never imagined. Thing like drawbacks and discomforts are there even if it’s for the better. But, if you don’t create change, change will create you..

Best of Both Worlds

Last night we attended the Tuesday Session of the  MILO A.P.E.X.(Athletic Performance Enhancement) Training. The session was led by Dr. Heath Motley, who is a professional chiropractor. He exhibited his expertise with stretching and displays the mechanical disorders of the muscles and joints simply by testing resistance of the arms and legs.

What is Chiropratic?

Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on general health.  Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.

After manhandling two volunteers(this guy is huge ‘tho his voice is really soft! lol) he mentioned something about ” High Fat Diet” is ideal for runners especially for long distances instead of carbohydrate diet.  Is it true? Which is better?

Let’ start:

MIGRATORY BIRDS and whales rely on stored fat to fuel their long, strenuous journeys.

Just keep flying, just keep flying.. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming..

Fat is the muscles’ primary fuel for low to moderate-intensity exercise. Carbohydrate, which is the muscles’ primary fuel for moderately  high to high-intensity exercise, is stored only in small amounts in the body.  As a consequence, the depletion of the carbohydrate fuel causes fatigue during activities with long and higher intensity like marathon, ultramarathon or triathlon.

If we compare it with Fat fuel, it is virtually unlimited in our body. In this way, if we increase our reliance on fat fuel and decrease dependency on carbohydrate fuel during race intensity exercise, runners theoretically delay fatigue and perform better.
