The profile you tracked down is from quite a few years ago. The part about “favorite browser: Netscape” is a bit of a giveaway! Whatever the case, thank you for the kind words!

I agree with ‘The Shallows’, I’m having to relearn how to read properly again (with books!) as my default on-screen reading technique is to skim read.

I wonder what would this man be doing in 2013, only 33 years old, and having contributed to society more than many in a few lifetimes. I’m 45, without a paid occupation but with lots of potential, and I don’t understand how can the world afford to have people who can make a contribution but without a chance to shine. Not everybody is cut to be a salesman, a driven marketeer or a cunning money-maker; if the UK is really heading towards making of these people the sole basis of its future sustainability, knowing how poorly mentally and emotionally developed they are, apart from being able to stash wads of dosh in offshore accounts; if they are the best bet of UK policies, we’re in for a debacle every few years, which already started with the current crisis in 2008. And that is not a good sign or prospect, as someone who has lived in a potentially rich, but underdeveloped, country, can tell from first hand knowledge.
Thank you for keeping the memory alive of an outstanding member of the human race. ]]>

Completely agree. Golden rule – if a product is free, then you’re the one being sold.

Bill, can your image of ELIZABETH ANSCOMBE’s grave be added to her new Find-A-Grave entry?

That’s very sad. I knew Chris in passing many years ago, from the Informatics Olympiad, and also on FidoNet. I had no idea he’d become so successful as to get an obituary in The Times. And I hadn’t heard of his death until I chanced upon this article. Life’s very fragile sometimes.

That’s a bit creepy – photographing someone on the train then posting it and asking who they are!

Thanks for the feedback. I have heard you and others.
The app is meant to be “social”, allowing for ratings comparisons with friends and others, but I am going to work on an alternate login for those who don’t want to use Facebook.
Regardless, if people do not want their anonymous data (not attributable to their individual profiles) shared with other users, I’m asking them to please not use Expereal.
Please feel free to contact me via the website or Twitter with any questions.
