It is why I decided to write this tutorial. My ambition is to update it as soon as the jQuery Mobile library is updated by their conceptors.

Inside the tutorial

This tutorial is divided into 3 parts:

• Part one: Display graphic components

  We study the display of graphics on touch screens, such as radio buttons, selection lists and check boxes.

• Part two: JavaScript Programming

  This part concerns the JavaScript programming associated with jQuery Mobile. We can manipulate the elements described in the previous section using JavaScript. We will see that with a few simple concepts, we come easily to give life to our windows and their contents, for example communicate with a web server.

• Part three: Case study

  This part of the book concerns the creation of an application using jQuery Mobile. Our goal here is to show how the concepts discussed above can be used to develop a concrete and useful mobile application. We will develop a messaging application to exchange instant messages between people connected to a server.
