Comment on cut to kill by Paul Martin

Wed, 05 Jan 2022 19:01:08 +0000https://tgace.com/?p=6383#comment-97377I agree with your thinking. I also think it could end up being considered “torture” IF you are claiming to have trained in a martial art/deadly force and become so proficient that – even in the face of a deadly force threat – that you purposely used a deadly force tool in a less than lethal manner like ‘biomechanical cutting’ and left the person maimed and in pain…
In the age of Social Media, there WILL be someone catching the incident on video as well… so how it “looks” on video has to be something that people prepare for if they train for self defense – just like police/military policies have changed in response to that technological change to our world.
biomechanical cutting, IMO, is like training to ‘shoot them in the leg’

Tue, 27 Sep 2016 18:44:29 +0000https://tgace.com/?p=5959#comment-96592It is much worse than you think. Siddle or “BS” as he is known, has no college degree, never served in any Military, claims to be a Grandmaster ‘Siku Siddle,” but has never been a student in any Martial arts school, claims he designed the US Army “Q” course, writes books on killing and combat, yet has never been in a Gun Fight, it just goes on and on…Look at his failed Lawsuit in Nashville Tenn where the Judge all but called him a fraud, and he Gun design which he renamed the “STX” was allegedly stolen from the guy who designed it in NC. Siddle’s latest rift is with the STI gun company in Texas, this guy is a fraud, a fake and a phony and it amazes me all you law enforcement guys fell for his “BS.”

Sat, 10 Sep 2016 15:21:29 +0000https://tgace.wordpress.com/?page_id=64#comment-96545I think you nailed it, SOME of the minutia of the other comments not withstanding.
I WAS a warrior. Now I’m not. Both physically and mentally I’m a civilian. The mindset I had as a warrior was not ideal for civilized life. Yes, I carry the same virtues that allowed me to become a warrior and made me shine in my service as a warrior, but my job is now negotiating conflicts/business deals.
I only use those things, that made me a good warrior, that transfer logically. I’m right there with you that the warrior mindset doesn’t allow for legitimate disagreement, and that’s where it really falls down in society. It has to be right and wrong with clarity to risk and sacrifice so much, and as we all know if the ultimate foundation is not love for our brothers and our cause you just don’t get there, because sacrifice is at the heart of it.
Good stuff. May God bless you and yours.

Comment on Condition 1 carry vs the “Israeli Method” by Ike Fry
https://tgace.wordpress.com/2011/11/08/condition-1-carry-vs-the-israeli-method/#comment-96524
Mon, 29 Aug 2016 20:36:49 +0000https://tgace.com/?p=4620#comment-96524My two cents. In part it depends on what you carry. Per https://concealednation.org/2015/02/beginners-guide-single-action-dasa-or-dao-which-one-is-right-for-you/Anything but condition one or two is storage. The correct way to carry a 1911, Hi-Power or other single action pistol is with a round in the chamber, hammer fully cocked, and the manual safety engaged. This “cocked and locked” condition is perfectly safe for a shooter with the proper training. It is also very fast. When drawing the 1911 or Hi-Power from concealment, one should place the thumb of the firing hand on top of the thumb safety and the trigger finger alongside the frame. The safety may be snapped off as the piece comes into alignment with the target as the finger engages the trigger. In a different situation, the piece may be leveled at the target with the thumb resting on top of the safety. If the decision is made to fire, the safety may be disengaged instantly.
I prefer DEFCON2 on a DA\SA, & I’m sorry but I’ve seen too many twigs & vines get caught in places impossible for them to reach to be comfortable carrying a Glock C1 in anything but a bureau drawer. I favour something with a safety & hammer or decocker like my FNP357 & Taurus PT24/7 OSS DS .45. Lack of confidence? No, just supreme confidence in Murphy & Glitch, godlet-of-fuckups.
This says all what needs saying about ‘Israeli carry’ (why carry an Israeli, when if you can do that you can carry a cop?!)\DEFCON3. (I can’t believe some people honestly think they can rack a slide & put rounds on target as quickly or faster than C! or 2!) https://gunservant.com/2016/05/10/empty-chamber-carry-is-bullshit/

There are many game experts that post tactical advice to newcomers and less skilled players looking to get better.
I found a reference to your tactical preschool and noticed that man of your tips and tactics directly apply. I am interested in using some of your preschool material coupled with in game examples to teach players and help them improve.
Do you mind if I properly reference your website and material when posting my videos on this forum?
