To the leaders of our world,
It is truly disappointing that as citizens of our world, that we cannot put faith and trust into our world leaders no matter what field because they are doing more harm than good in these troubling uncertain times. Our Lives are at risk because of the wrong decisions that are made that impact us in every way.
Our safety, stability, financially, our health, our security, cutting corners, spending our hard earned money on the less important things, our livelihood and everything in between. Also the increase in prices for our food, home, gas and everything of that sort.
Our leaders of our world need to do better. Instead of focusing on other countries and destroying and ruining people’s lives and families, why don’t they prioritize and take care of their own instead of meddling into others countries?
Take care of us. We matter too and we should also have a say and raise our voices in matters that affect us all. Live and let live. Life is too short. Leave people be and let people enjoy their lives.
Mental health and unhappiness is on the rise because of the decisions our leaders make. Everything affects us.
We dont want to hear empty promises and lies anymore. We want honest, good people, intelligent and people who will understand us and get the hard work done and do great things, to instill quality, morals, respect, dignity and love in this world.
Why don’t our leaders help us instead of dividing us? We need change and we need to live in a better and kinder world.
Majestic Armenia – The Scent of History
Majestic Armenia – The Scent of History
Written By: Talin Orfali Ghazarian
In my life, one of the best parts is to travel and experience the world. When I was 7 years of age, I began to travel outside of Canada with my family and have many fond memories of those cherished experiences. As I began to gain more perspective in life, I began to appreciate all walks of life. One of my best travels was to my Motherland the beautiful Majestic Armenia where my heart, soul and mind is.
When I was 14 years of age, I graduated St. Sahag. St. Mesrob Armenian Saturday School of Toronto when I was in 8th grade in 1999. Our class was the first to embark on the journey to Armenia in the history of our school. That is where I got to witness everything I learned right in front me. It was uplifting and emotional and it was the first time for me to fly across the pond 27 years ago. I will never forget my late teacher Mr. Antranik and his memory and our class traveling with him.
This year in April, 2025, It was long overdue and the perfect time to go back to my Motherland Armenia. We witnessed Easter Sunday on April 20th at the Holy See Cathedral St. Etchmiadzin which is our Mother Church. We had arrived just in time to witness Easter. I thought of my late teacher Mr. Antranik for the whole duration of our trip. He even appeared into my dreams one night as I slept.
A few days later, we witnessed The 110th Armenian Genocide commemoration on April 24th right at the Armenian Genocide Memorial and museum at Tzitzernagaberd to remember the victims of The Armenian Genocide from 1915 where 1.5 million Armenians were massacred by the hands of the Turkish Ottoman Empire in Turkey where they also stole a lot of our land, cherished towns, cities and treasures.
Then on April 30th, was my 40th birthday. I couldn’t think of a more perfect place to celebrate an important milestone in my life. That day we visited the city Talin and went to the Talin Cathedral. It was such a special and beautiful birthday. We met up with my brother and his wife and celebrated my birthday in a restaurant called Khinkali that evening for dinner along with my in-laws. It was such a great and awesome time.
I am so thankful to my husband for making my dreams a reality to visit Armenia in such a pivotal and important part of my life. I am super grateful for that thoughtfulness to making me the happiest person ever.
In the gap of 27 years, there was a very huge difference in development, a lot of new buildings, the dynamics of people, how they live and how they go about life has drastically changed. I could not recognize a lot of it from the first time I went. I have never forgot any part of my trips. It is embedded into my heart, mind, soul and life.
Armenia now has both history and a modern twist in how people live life. Technology, education, culinary, medical, and other occupations have blossomed and how incredibly awesome they are to the standards of education and teaching in the great quality of the schools, universities, colleges and other institutions that they educate students so well with high quality standards.
As we got to witness and drive to many areas of Majestic and beautiful Armenia, we got to see Monasteries, churches, statues, villages, meet Armenians from all over the country, we got to talk in our language, we saw Armenian writing everywhere, we enjoyed our delicious food in many restaurants. We got to also taste and drink pomegranate juice, ate Armenian Gata, Lavash, Khatchapuri, Khinkali, Mante, and other popular dishes that was so good and it hit the spot. They are super generous with the portions they provide.
The shopping of lovely Armenian Souvenirs at Vernisage market, the malls, the big difference in fashion and how people dress, witnessing our icons and precious artifacts, culture, heritage and got to smell the scent of history inside the walls of our beautifully cherished treasures.
When I entered into the beautiful churches, monasteries, museums in Armenia, the scent of hundreds and thousands of years of history became alive. I kept imagining what life was like when those beautiful treasures were built. I was thinking of all the walks of life, who of our prominent figures of our heritage created their footsteps and left their mark in and around those walls.
The gorgeous altars, rugs, our precious treasures of our Christianity.
We Visited Khor Virap, Noravank, Goshavank, Sevanavank, St. Etchmiadzin, St. Gayane, St. Hripsime, Sardarapat, Haghardzin, Jermuk, Gyumri, Yerevan, Madenataran, Mayr Hayasdan Mother Armenia, Cascades, Yerevan Opera house, Yerevan Republic Square, Surb Hovhannes Matur, Talin City, Dilijan, Garni Temple, Amberd Fortress, Saghmosavank, Lake Sevan, The field of the Armenian Alphabet, Geghard, and whole lot of other places. It is so special and precious.
We also visited the grave site of our Armenian Alphabet creator and inventor St. Mesrob Mashtots in Oshakan. We got to see the Armenian Alphabet, the statue of St. Mesrob Mashtots. We prayed and paid respects to him and spoke to him and thanked him for creating a huge part of our Armenian Identity by giving us that precious gift of our language.
The beautifully architected churches and buildings, the attention to detail, the patterns, the cross rocks, symbols that have and give meaning into our Armenian identity. The picturesque views from afar and near, the mountainous winding roads, the nature, and the beauty of the vibrant Mount Ararat that can be seen by many areas of Armenia.
As we drove through, we saw many statues of our prominent figures. We visited grave sites of the heroic soldiers who risked their lives to fight for us who perished recently from the Artsakh Genocide from the hands of the Azerbaijani’s.
We unfortunately could not visit Artsakh as so many Armenians could before because the Azerbaijani’s stole our lands continuing the Genocide and displacing a lot of Armenians from there. Some of the taxi drivers were from there and they described the nightmare they went through being kicked out of their own homes by utter cruelty.
We did not waste a moment in Armenia. The days went by super fast as we were busy navigating through. We rented vehicles and drove around on our own creating our own adventure.
That scent of history has a lot to say touching those walls, praying, learning and reading up about what each church and monastery symbolize, how it livens up as you visit. A lot of visitors light candles in the candle basins which everyone of them have. I became obsessed with that scent, the incense, the smell of the candles. Its one I have never smelled before. Quite different.
I felt home in Gods home, I became a lot closer to God and his beautiful creations. His energy and presence is and was so alive when I entered in those churches. I can spend hours and hours in each one of them. Spectacular, fantastic, gorgeous, majestic, incredible, wonderful, delightful doesn’t even begin to describe them. Pictures, videos, stories don’t do justice. Be there in person and you will see what I am talking about.
Armenia is a beautiful country that everyone should visit and experience at least once. I am sure that you will always want to go back after that first initial visit. You will love it so much. It is a travel destination that is so fulfilling. You get to see so much. 2 weeks is not enough to see everything. You need at least a month or 2 to comfortably see everything all around. You wouldn’t want to leave. I know my spirit, heart, soul and mind are always there. I know I am not physically there anymore, but I know I left my mark there.
Armenia is my love, my blood, the flag colours red, blue and orange is my life line and my every being. I would love to visit more often and to go back to my roots and my identity. God bless Armenians and Armenia.
I hope you enjoyed my story and thank you for your time for reading. Much appreciated.
Armenia My Home
Being in Armenia was something that was so indescribable. Entering those beautiful monasteries and churches was an uplifting beautiful experience. The top three that stood out for me was Noravank, Khor Virap and Sourp Etchmiadzin. However each other one is still as beautiful as ever.
I even got to see the village of my name Talin and my church that bares my name. That was incredible.
Witnessing history within those walls, the scent of hundreds if not thousands of years of stories, seeing the gorgeous altars, cross rocks in other words KhatchKars, the echos of our voices praying well wishes, health, happiness and success for all our family and friends.
The picturesque scenery of our beautiful mountains, hills and valleys, our trees and nature, our landmarks, rich in history, culture, heritage, and our food. The sound of the fresh and pure waters coming through the fountains, waterfalls.
The vibrant and lovely people of Armenia living life, the restaurants, cafes and night life always happening. The fashion, creators, inventors of prominent and very popular things around the world, our schools, history books.
Armenian Children who give joy, hope and meaning for the next generation wearing vibrant colors and all the positive vibes they give out.
Armenia is unlike any other. As an Armenian in the diaspora across the world, if you have not stepped foot, and visited our Motherland, book that flight and go and explore. The feeling is beautiful. What you have learned about comes to life.
When you catch the powerful statue of Mother Armenia from a distance and when you witness the Yerevan TV Tower, Madenataran, and everything in between, you will feel like you are at home away from home.
Armenia is our home, our identity and our love. God bless Armenians and God bless Armenia! Will be back sooner than later for my 3rd visit.
Palm Sunday is Special to Me ACYOC
When Palm Sunday arrives, I always think about when I was part of The ACYOC committee. Armenian Church Youth Organization of Canada in Toronto. from 2002-2011. When it was called ACYOC, We used to have luncheons in the church hall.
It was called ACYOC Youth day where we would be at Holy Trinity Armenian Church of Toronto and we would be lined up to walk up to the altar where the priest would bless us and talk about us to those who attended church. After blessing us, we hurried back to the church hall where we would help with getting the last minute things done for the luncheon to make sure its perfect and beautiful for those who attended.
I have fond and awesome memories of that. We would spend months and attend meetings to create an agenda, to prepare for the Palm Sunday luncheon where we would discuss what food we will serve, who will conduct speeches, entertainment, thinking of beautiful centerpieces and other decorations, we would set the tables, prepare the food, and serve those in attendance. It was exciting that I was chosen to be master of ceremonies a couple of times to talk about what ACYOC is and what we stood for, introducing those who would be entertaining us, thanking and speaking to those who attended to wish them a happy and good time.
Every year it would be a great success and through thoughtful and heartfelt donations from those who attended we would utilize those donations to fund events and other causes throughout the year that we would have.
Many years went by and I decided to pass the torch onto the next generation of youth. It was their turn to shine and to make a difference in our church, and to continue to make beautiful memories to last a lifetime. Palm Sunday will always hold a special place in my heart.
Traveling Back to My Motherland Armenia After 27 Years
It is with great joy and excitement I share with you that after 27 years since 1999, I will be traveling back to my Motherland Armenia. It is such a pivotal moment in my life. I cannot believe I will be stepping foot on the soil of my fellow Armenians and ancestors once again.
I was 14 years of age when I first went. It was with my Armenian Saturday School class, teacher, and assistants who joined us in this beautiful journey to Armenia. I still remember it like yesterday. It is something that I would never forget either. It was a great experience.
27 years later when I go back, I am just wondering how I will feel, how I will react to seeing everything again and what I have learned, seen online and on the news about Armenia. It is something that I am quite certain that will be emotional, happy, and also crying too.
I am dedicating this trip to Armenia for my late and awesome teacher Mr. Antranik. In Armenian we call him Baron Antranik. Baron is a term for Mr. He was truly an inspiration to everyone and I have fond memories with him in Armenia along with the rest of our group there.
I will be landing on Easter on April 20, 2025 and heading to the Mother Church of St. Etchmiadzin. I will be present for the 110th Commemoration of the Armenian Genocide at the Armenian Genocide Memorial on April 24, 2025. I will also celebrate my 40th birthday on April 30th, 2025. I wanted to do something very big for my birthday this year and it was fitting that I celebrate in Armenia.
I am looking forward to this awesome trip. Super excited and I cannot wait to write my experiences and share them with you all on a daily basis while I am there. Stay tuned.
Travel Advice On Long Haul Flights – How To Combat Boredom
In life, some of us want to explore the world and travel to new places and get out of our comfort zone. Sometimes that involves long haul flights to the other side of the world where we are on flights over 8-14 or 8-20 hours or whatever the case maybe. Those are long flights and people can get bored quickly or they feel like they want to get to their destination already.
Nowadays most if not all airlines come equipped with individual screens in front of their seats where you can play games, watch movies, TV shows, look at what the airline offers, and watch the whole inflight map of total distance traveled, you can look up the imperial or metric style either miles or kilometres, the speed of the aircraft and more. Plus when the flight attendant comes around with food and drink that takes time out of your flight too.
Now, lets talk about how to combat boredom on long haul flights. I have my list of things you can do to make your flight enjoyable, restful and also entertaining.
here is the list:
- Download offline game apps on your phone, tablet, laptop – Downloading offline game apps like solitaire, other card games and other fun games is a way to pass the time.
- Download the airline app before you fly – Some airlines provide entertainment and other fun things on their apps so that when you get on your flight, you can enjoy it.
- Bring a word search, crossword, sudoku or other forms of puzzle books to pass the time.
- Take a nice nap
- Download music and movies on your phone, tablet, laptop and use your headphones, headset or earphones to avoid disturbing others around you.
- Do leg and foot exercises, get up from your seat and walk to the lavatory and back. stretch out your arms and legs if you can. It is important to move around.
- Freshen up in the lavatory, bring your own wipes and moisturizer. That also passes time.
- Have conversations with the people you travel with or if you are on your own and if the person beside you feels like chatting and enjoys your company, talk and make friends with them. You never know who you meet. They can become a friend for life.
- Fill out necessary travel documents as soon as you receive them. Some flights and destinations ask you to fill out customs, tourist visa documents when the flight attendant brings them out to you. Do them right away so you don’t waste time at the arriving airport. Also fill them out clearly and correctly.
- Bring a notebook or journal to write out what you are expecting out of your travel or doodle, draw in it.
- Sit back, relax, think of great thoughts and enjoy your flight 🙂
What other ways do you like to combat boredom on your long haul flights? What else is missing from this list? I would love to hear from you. Safe and happy travels! 🙂
In Loving memory of NHL Hockey Greats and brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau
In Loving memory of NHL Hockey Greats and brothers Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau,
I am at a loss of words on this tremendous loss due to the poor and horrible choice of a drunk driver that took their lives. Two brothers decide to take their bicycles out for a ride and then all of a sudden the actions of someone who made a horrible decision, decides to get behind the wheel to hit them. Thankfully the driver stood at the scene to be taken into custody.
Matthew and Johnny were to be groomsman and attend their sisters wedding the day after. It is absolutely heartbreaking where a celebration of love and unity turns out to be an absolute horrific tragedy to plan two funerals.
“Last night we lost two husbands, two fathers, two sons, two brothers, two sons and brothers in law, two nephews, two cousins, two family members two teammates, two friends but truly two amazing humans,” family spokesperson Jim Gaudreau said on social media.
Time and time again, It is absolutely mind boggling how people choose to be irresponsible, to make horrible choices of drinking and then choose to get behind the wheel to put people in danger in a high possibility of causing injury and or worse, it puts an end to someone’s life and then the scar that will never heal and puts an emptiness in that person’s loved ones.
Tougher penalties, revoking and banning individuals from ever driving again and who choose to make bad choices should spend a significant amount of time in prison. It is simple, you take a life, you pay for it by losing your time in life by being locked up.
Drinking and driving has increased so much and people don’t think before they act. These people who choose to drink and drive think drinking is so cool. Alcohol causes nothing but problems. Enjoy but enjoy responsibly.
You can always make the right choice by getting a designated driver, uber, taxi, or take public transit or better yet, don’t drink.
Now, Johnny and Matthew’s family, friends, and the NHL community will never be the same and their family is shattered. This also goes to all families in the world who have had to endure this pain of losing a loved ones or whole entire families.
My heart and my thoughts and prayers go out to Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau’s families and friends during this very difficult time.
Travel Reviews – Be Careful What you Read
Talin’s Travel Tips and Advice.
Reading travel reviews and experiences online: Especially the negative ones.
Be very careful… Not everything is true. Most of the time it is false anyway. Even photos are sometimes deceiving.
Some, most or all of us at some point want to always find out more information on our choices of travel and all of a sudden we get on websites or social media groups to read reviews on cruises, airlines, resorts, hotels and more.
Well, I want to warn you that a lot of reviews online are written by people who just get on specific travel advisor sites and they write fake reviews just so the person can either make profit out of or they just want to cause a problem which in most cases always happen and who suffers the most? The travel destinations of choice. When you travel do physical research on the airline, cruise line, resort, hotel or anything else directly on their website or reliable and reputable sites that will give you the correct information about a place. Also consult a travel consultant to give you the best advice in these matters.
A lot of people these days have made social media and the internet a place where people think that they have the freedom to hide behind a screen to just post things for the sake of posting because they are way too comfortable in doing so. If you are unsure about a review online and are looking to decipher the article, please bring it to my attention. I know fake reviews when I see one. I have been traveling since I was 7 years of age.
The easiest way is to solve all of this is to form your own opinion, gain your own experience, just go with the flow. Every persons preference on travel is different. Everybody wants different things. Just because one person or few didn’t like the food, or didn’t like something else in terms of flight, hotels or anything else doesn’t mean that you will feel the same about it. It is to each their own. Just be careful.
Go and enjoy yourself. Life is too short. Fill your passports with stamps, and fill your life with memories, moments and travel. If you rely solely on reviews and negativity, you will not go anywhere in life. This also applies to all aspects of life. Just go and experience it.
The Escalator Story
The Escalator Story.
Carnival Celebration Cruise Ship.
Terminal F. Port of Miami Cruise Port.
By: Talin Orfali Ghazarian.
April 28, 2024.
A couple of months ago, I had embarked on my 11th Cruise ship on the Carnival Celebration. After flying and landing in Fort Lauderdale, took an Uber to the Port of Miami. I Saw the first glimpse of the beautiful cruise ships in Port at Biscayne Bay and then saw ours. As we got closer to our designated terminal to check in for our cruise. The excitement really began.
Dropped off our big baggage to the porter for them to take it on the ship later to place them in our cabin. So, long story short as we were walking in to do security screening checks, came across a set of escalators. At this point we were so close to getting on the ship.
I placed my carry on baggage with wheels on the steps on the Escalator going up, I wanted to hurry as much as possible to get my two feet on the ship. from my excitement and distraction as I am so obsessed with cruise ships, I missed my step as the Escalator was going up. I fell back and then my husband was behind me. He saved the day. Then the worker stopped the Escalator and people around me were looking.
I got up, and I was fine and husband was fine then the worker came to me and asked If I was okay, I said yes I’m good. So then a couple of others asked if was okay, I said yes. So off we went and back to walking to the ship. We got on the ship, ate lunch, went to the sail away party. Went to the cabin, and then later got ready for dinner.
So then as I was getting ready for dinner, little did I know that I had gotten a bruise under my arm as I lifted it up to brush my hair. Didn’t feel pain which was good. Bruise lasted a few days and then got better…
I laughed it off after and been laughing about it ever since. I’m glad it didn’t ruin my trip. 🙂 My excitement got the better of me.
Bible Studies Online
Live Bible Studies Online.
I feel that we are losing the real connection with Bible studies that are being recorded live on social media. Pointless and Unnecessary Covid protocols ruined everything.
Social media bible studies has given people the opportunity to stay home to disconnect people to gather physically in one place. It is not the same when you are at home. Home and other places distracts you. Some don’t even stay for the full duration Online.
I think Bible studies should be something that should be taught without cameras like how we did before covid. We need to go back to where there was a room full of people of all ages to make friends, to enjoy fellowship and make memories outside our homes.
We got too comfortable in our comfort zones. We shouldn’t be Online doing Bible studies. We need to focus without our phones and screens in our hands. Society has lost its way. Not everything should be Online. There needs to be a limit. Go out and enjoy these times.
Time is precious. Your church and community needs you. Yes, you can read the Bible anywhere and pray anywhere, but don’t forget to go to Bible studies in person where it’s more personable and you can reflect, ask questions and be proactive if you like or you can just listen and write notes for you.
Don’t depend on internet so much. The reality and real life is out there. Covid was the plan to isolate everyone at home. Don’t let that pursuade you. God bless you and keep you safe. Please go to your local Bible study and safe journeys as you go. May God be with you.
The 25th Anniversary of Toronto’s ACC Summerfest 2022 Was A Great Success – Record-Breaking Attendance
By: Talin Orfali Ghazarian

On the weekend of July 8, 9, 10, 2022, The Armenian community centre of Toronto held its annual ACC Summerfest at the Armenian Youth Centre. The last 2-3 years due to the pandemic the summerfest was unfortunately on hiatus, but 2022, the biggest party of the year came back with record-breaking attendance from near and far.
Almost 8,000 people attended in the three days span. It was a successful weekend with awesome entertainment, food, and more. It was like a big family reunion where people come together after a long time of not seeing each other. Also people made new friends too.
People traveled from Los Angeles, Montreal, Detroit, Kitchener, Cambridge, Milton, St. Catharines, Armenia, Lebanon, and other parts of Canada, USA and the world.
The ACC Summerfest was visited by various dignitaries, as well as his Worship the Mayor of Toronto John Tory. We had a jam packed line-up of entertainment provided by our Master of Ceremonies all weekend long by a famous Armenian comedian all the way from Los Angeles. Her name is Mary Basmadjian that goes by the screen name of “Vartoush”. She also gave us a comedy show which we couldn’t stop laughing.
Then we had Martin Mkrtchyan, Marco Mr. Tam Tam, Serop Hagopian, Armenchik, Ararad Aharonian, Ronios, Suro, Joelle, DJ Davo, along with various vendors, a petting zoo, pony rides, magic show, entertainment zone for the kids and a lot more. Then to end off the weekend, the summerfest came to a close with Armenian Patriotic songs where we held up Armenia, Artsakh, Canadian flags to remember our Armenian heroes of Artsakh and Armenia where Hratch Jabrayan came up on stage to say a heartfelt yet touching speech.
We even received news media coverage by CP24.
We enjoyed delicious Armenian/Middle Eastern food made by Lara’s Restaurant and Mezze’s and other variety of foods by Arz Fine foods.
There was also authentic Armenian souvenirs, books, CD’s, Armenia Flag memorabilia to purchase.
It takes all year to plan a huge event like this. Hard work, determination, dedication, and hours and hours day in and day out of meetings, preparations, and carefully planning out the entertainment lineup, contacting them, the availability, equipment and so much.
It was so refreshing and wonderful to see people out and about again coming back to a normal life of seeing people’s faces, smiles, people having a great time after a hectic couple of years we have had to endure.
The purpose of the ACC Summerfest is to strengthen the Armenian community, to get together with our families, friends to gather and to create everlasting memories, to preserve our Armenian culture and heritage by listening to our music, to support our local Armenian businesses and a lot more.
It certainly is not easy to plan an event like ACC Summerfest. I would like to thank the organizing committee, volunteers, bartenders, cleaners and all those who gave a helping hand to make this a great experience for all. I appreciate you all very much. It takes a lot of energy. I observed and witnessed it and I should say that you are all heroes. It was an excellent weekend.
I say thank you a billion trillion times. That is even not enough.
I and I am sure everyone enjoyed themselves all weekend. It was such a fantastic weekend and even the weather cooperated with no rain. It was so beautiful and comfortable. Mother Nature blessed us. It was great.
I am looking forward to the 2023 Armenian Community Centre Summerfest next year and I am counting the days!
In Armenian I shall say Vartzgernit Gadar, Shad Shunoragalem. Asdvadz bahe tzez polorit!
Toronto Pearson Airport, Baggage and Flight delays and cancelations
Toronto Pearson Airport is a huge mess with a sea of baggage everywhere and huge hassle for passengers and including other Canadian Airports with canceled flights because of lack of staff. They should have hired more people when they were getting out of this so-called pandemic and they knew they were getting out of this months ago. They should have called people back for their jobs and shouldn’t have laid people off in the first place.
Passengers are waiting for hours to get through security, customs and from check in to gate. Some flights are being delayed or canceled.
That is why I always say go to Airport early. These are prime examples.
Lack of upper management and lack of professionalism. They just look for profit and are greedy not giving back. They used to give you food and freebies on flights, that is lacking too. You gotta pay for it. As if you aren’t paying enough for your flight. Even baggage fees too. It’s ridiculous. Fees for everything. It’s crazy!
The art of communication in person is lacking. People just don’t know how to handle things in a physical form anymore. Airlines and Airports want you to email your problems to them. You can’t talk to anybody on the phone instantly anymore. It’s horrible and you need to wait for hours until you get a hold of someone.
Technology is good in some senses, but it shouldn’t take over everything.
That is why people are in this mess. Don’t put down the airlines or airports, it’s the people who are managing and making the decisions that are the problem. No logic whatsoever.
I still love Toronto Pearson Airport and travel life. Nothing will deter me away. The Big kahunas are the ones we should let go of and put people in charge of those who actually care for passengers.

Being Left out in this tough world
In the last little while, I have been doing a lot of thinking and reflecting on life and just doing a complete 360 degrees of who and what matters in my life.
In my life I have been left out a lot, used, bullied, hurt and felt like I’ve been put to the side when I’m not needed. This goes back to when I was a kid. I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed lately. So many emotions. I’ve been battling anxiety at times.
It’s been so hard to keep my smile going, and being positive, thinking happy thoughts and being in my happy places, and doing what I love. I’m at a breaking point where I feel like I have been fighting so hard to keep my feelings bottled up inside of me.
Sometimes in my mind, I think of being left out as a kid to my teenage life and into my adult life. I’ve been treated like an outsider like I don’t matter. I felt like I didn’t fit in because I am different, my thought process and my way of life. I feel in my mind that people say really bad things about me behind my back. I just know it and feel it in my gut instinct.
The problem is that when you have a soft heart, with good intentions, being thoughtful, always there for everyone and to go above and beyond, I feel like we are the ones who get trampled on and we get to be the ones where people find the opportunity to use and to walk all over.
Nowadays, you need to think with your mind and not the heart, and nowadays you need to stand up for yourself in this tough world.
Gut instincts are not wrong. I am very observant and they do not know that, but my eyes and ears are wide open and I see everything.
I’m a very sentimental person who loves, cares, appreciates and is grateful for everyone in my life.
I’m just thinking if people equally love, cares, appreciates and is grateful to have me in their life, if I matter to them, if they ever think of me or check up on me to see how I am. I feel like 99% of the time I have to chase people to check up on them.
There is just so much I still need to say. I’ll leave that for another day. I’m just hoping that nobody has to go through what I went and I’m still going through. It’s the worst. If you can relate to me, let’s talk.
Captain Kate McCue – The Queen of the Sea
Just over a year ago, I was going through YouTube for some cruise ship videos and I saw a video that got me to click to watch. It was from Celebrity Cruises Captain Kate McCue. Today, I am introducing you to the very beautiful Captain Kate McCue and what I think of her.
Captain Kate McCue is the first woman captain of a mega giant cruise ship. She is born on January 6th, 1978 from San Francisco, California. She is married to Nikola Petrovic. She began as a commanding officer of Celebrity Summit in 2015. She has also worked for Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise lines.
Since the age of 12 when her family and her went on a cruise ship, Captain Kate became so intrigued and invested into the cruises that she wanted to become a cruise director. With her love, dedication, devotion, enthusiasm, she began her journey to studying at California State University Maritime Academy and she also has a lot of training and knowledge to operate a cruise ship.
Captain Kate has witnessed shipbuilding at the cruise ship building yards, the drydock, and seeing cruise ships come to life. She gained an appreciation to the hard work and determination of the cruise builders which further solidified her love for these gigantic vessels.
Captain Kate has an iconic sphynx cat named Bug Naked which sails with her on the cruise ships that she takes command of. You may or may not have seen her YouTube, Instagram and TikTok accounts, but if you have not. It is a must see.
There is just so much about Captain Kate, I would love to talk about, but you can also search more about her.
What I think of Captain Kate McCue.
I think Captain Kate is such a beautiful, dedicated and awesome person. I see her personality, the way she treats the passengers and crew is ever so awesome, professional, so friendly and absolutely full of life. She is a humble, down-to-earth person whom I absolutely love. She is definitely someone you can talk to about anything.
Although, I have not met her yet, but through her social media, through all the articles, and all the endorsements and everything I have heard about her, I can truly say I feel like I have met her already and I feel like she has been in my life for years.
She lights up the room with her radiant and delightful smile. A true inspiration for all women and girls out there in the world who dream of doing great and big things in life. Captain Kate is someone who demonstrates a go-getter personality. Its my dream to get to meet her someday to tell her to her beautiful face on how she has made an awesome impact in my life.
Captain Kate and I are the same when it comes to love of cruise ships and cruising. We share the same passion, drive and appreciation for the cruise industry, but there is just one difference. Kate is a Captain and I am a cruise passenger who has had the pleasure of sailing 8 to 9 times on different cruise ships.
I just love that I can relate to her. It drives me crazy and bonkers when people call a cruise ship a boat. It gets me so annoyed. On Captain Kate’s name tag, her slogan says, Do not call it a boat or something like that. I just love that. It is true. It is a ship. You wouldn’t want to call a canoe a yacht now would you?
I wish Captain Kate McCue all the best in her future sailings and sending her, her officers, crew, and passengers blessings with everything. May she have safe, happy and healthy sailings wherever her ship sails.
