WELCOME TO SYNTHPLEX!
A new Synthplex® is in the works.
Stay tuned for all that is to come!
What to Expect at Synthplex
Even in this age of online social media, with myriad synthesizer-related social groups, YouTube performances and tutorials, there is still no substitute for having a physical location where like-minded, synth people can come together and meet face to face/ear to ear. The West Coast has an amazing (and LARGE) community of synthesizer enthusiasts, who all look forward to the times when we can meet up, hang out, break bread and learn new things about synthesis. Enter Synthplex®.
"Synthplex will be an incredible bonding experience for the whole synth community. I can't wait for it!" ~ Skyler King, Analogue Haven
“We’re looking forward to finally having a synth event of this scale in our area”. ~ Nate Jasmin, Novation
Electronic Music In Many Genres
At Synthplex® we are all about synthesizers and electronic synthesizer music… We strive to book artists in a wide variety of genres such as; Ambient, Breakbeat, Berlin School, Chill Wave, Disco, Downtempo, Drum and Bass, Dub, Electro, Electroacoustic, Electronic Rock, Electronic, Ethnic Electronic, Experimental, Hardstyle, Hi-NRG, Hip Hop, House, Industrial, IDM, Jungle, Modbap, Modular Noise, Post-disco, Psy Trance, Synth Pop, Techno, Techno-Pop, Trance, and whatever else you may desire.
Synthplex® Friends are Electric!
Interpersonal relationships are the primary reason for Synthplex® to exist and our Synthplex™ friends are electric! Here on the west coast, we have arguably the world’s largest community of synthesizer enthusiasts when you combine the music business element, the movie business element and the gaming industry elements of sound/ music creation… and we all look forward to the time when we all get to meet up, hang-out, check out the latest gear & software, listen to great electronic synthesizer based music, see some amazing classic vintage synthesizers in the Pop-Up Synth Museum, and we get to learn new things about synthesis! Synthplex® is the place where our synthesizer community gathers together once a year, and the place where you are sure to meet new people and reconnect with your longtime synth friends. Synthplex® has already become the new hot spot where likeminded synth people come together… for the love of All-Things-Synthesizer.
We Welcome Everyone
At Synthplex® we will not discriminate against anyone. We will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of our events or operations… We love everyone the same! We strive to create a unified & loving community of synthesizer fans, who are all working together and are kind and tolerant.
Hands-on Experiences
There will be many opportunities at Synthplex® to get hands-on with a lot of synthesizer gear and much more. In the exhibit halls you will discover new products and you will get to dive deep into these products and experience them for yourself. All weekend long there will be equipment vendors giving demonstrations, and there will be daily DIY synthesizer building workshops (modular and other formats) going on in the morning and the afternoon.
Furthermore, Synthplex® has an extremely special Pop-Up Synth Museum, where you can experience firsthand many rare and valuable synthesizers with the guidance of museum docents. You don’t just get to listen and see these instruments, you actually get to tweak some knobs and play them! Note: Admission into the Pop-UP Synth Museum is a separate pass from the Synth Expo pass, as all profits from the Pop-Up Synth Museum will benefit the Bob Moog Foundation. Each year we will feature a new recipient for this donation.
Networking
Synthplex® is all about networking. You’ll meet countless people who will inspire you and give you encouragement. Synthplex® will have several music industry associations and their staff present to help you with understanding why joining their association will be beneficial to your success. We will also have professors and faculty members from various music education institutions, to help you cultivate your creativity and expand your knowledge of synthesis. This is the place where you can learn about getting your music out to the masses.
Great Fun!
Synthplex® 2022 is going to be high voltage fun! We have many live performers that are synthesizer based & DJ style electronic musicians/ bands that will entertain you all weekend long on three stages. We also have Dublab spinning electronic music and interviewing our special guest artists and presenters. For the exhibition portion of Synthplex® 2022, we expect to have 150+ vendors, all exhibiting their latest products, and many will be AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE at the show! We will also have our Saturday night Gala Dinner Banquet with an industry giant performing an intimate set (Artist TBA). You can also take part in one of our DIY synth building sessions and don’t forget to visit our Pop-Up Synth Museum to see some incredibly rare vintage synthesizers.
Great Food!
Synthplex® will have an outdoor cook-out each day during lunchtime in the courtyard area, where you can sit outside in the sun and enjoy the live broadcast from Dublab, who will have their DJ's on-site spinning electronic music. In the hotel complex there are multiple bars, coffee barista, snack shop, and we have the Synthplex® Swag Shop located in the convention center lobby. The Marriott is also home to two quality restaurants and there are other breweries, pubs, restaurants and fast food joints right nearby. On top of all that, Saturday night is the Synthplex® Gala Dinner Banquet with an amazing live electronic music performance (Artist TBA).
