I got around to setting it up yesterday, but something was wrong either with the site or my gmail account, and I ended up not getting the account activation email for DKos until this morning.

The only way I could shut off comments without making them disappear from the site was to close commenting on all posts older than X days, where 1 was the smallest possible value for X. So there’s a tiny dying ember here, which will gutter out later tonight. 🙂

I think Blake Farenthold (party animal) is a better comparison than West (crazy bastard).

Y’all can laugh, but Kucinich is an icon and a person you can count on to serve your interests. If you needed help, you knew you could contact him and he’d give you a hand, even if you lived far away from his district. He represented all Americans. High up local republicans respected and liked him, because they knew he was true to his beliefs and could never be bought. Despite his whackiness, he was able to garner the votes of “ethnic democrats” from people that will now probably voted Republican otherwise. It’s an end of an era. No one will be able to replace him, or follow him for that matter. I’m getting sad just thinking about it.

In Canada, do they have those giant cool-looking badges that the candidates wear when the results are announced?

Luckily, nothing’s going on in Indiana other than a bunch of boring municipal primaries and things like that. Even if anything interesting does happen (maybe the South Bend mayoral primary, or Indianapolis), I can always just write something about it tomorrow.
]]>But how many times did I exhort you to create an account at DK? I warned this would happen! 🙂
]]>And so I end my last post here. See you on the flip side!!! It’s not going to be the same, but we all have to adapt, I guess.
