Be it music, art, speech, dance, sex….or the written word, I believe expression is the strongest and most basic compulsion of all human beings. I guess that’s why I’m here. I feel compelled to express myself, over great happy things, sad things, and the trivialities.

I’ve often found that I gain some perspective if I go back and read some of my entries after the shine wears off. Yesterday’s catastrophy becomes today’s “meh.” When that happens I choose to view that as a sign of growth, progress, or reconciliation.

It’s been said that every person you encounter — even if it’s just a “hello” at the bus stop, affects your life, even if it only provokes a momentary thought. Who knows? In the process of blogging, I may accidently affect someone’s life in a small way, perhaps passing on to others a nugget or two of wisdom…or warning ( “that heifer’s crazy…” ). Either works for me.
