Set-Up: The leaves show a hint of color change prompting Lisa to begin issuing her outgoing wishes. The first such issue is that of re-marriage after her passing. Though reluctant to discuss the topic, Les has no choice but to listen and agree.
Punchline: That’s right Les, take your time…then make sure to find a date to Summer’s wedding.
It’s a uncomfortable but necessary discussion to have when one of the couple exits against his/her will. Some have strong feelings about if/when to re-marry and for how long. Fortunately for us, Lisa knows how to keep a sense of humor about it. With Lisa’s blessing, Les stands to be back on the prowl in…oh…let’s say ten years. Hrm. That works out nicely.

Diversion: The strip might not be sad enough to require this diversion, but I wanted to post something anyway. Yesterday as I struggled with the crossword puzzle, I glanced at the Flying McCoys for a few seconds. The punchline was memorable only because it was a bad pun.
