It's a great drawing and it arrived safely. I haven't had time to get it framed, but I have a space for it. And it's awesome to get something like this without driving to connection and waiting in line forever. I'm looking at some old covers now. Nexus Alien Justice #2 is beautiful. I wonder what that original cover art is going for.. a lot... Anyway, thanks.

I received your wonderful book: "Steve Rude's FIGURE DRAWING, A How To from a Veteran Illustrator" a few days ago.
I got to work on copying some of the drawings in order to improve my figure drawing. This book is TERRIIC!. USEFUL is the key word I can think of today. The figure drawings help me bridge my Loomis learning into my comic book effort. I had a great time drawing flying figures today. Steve, I really appreciate this volume. It is loaded with stuff I want to work into my beingness as an artist

It's always interesting to revisit something you first read as a child and loved to see if it was a good as you remember. Nexus: As It Happened, reprinting the earliest Nexus issues, is better than I remember. I miss the color, but have to say seeing the artwork in black and white is its own joy. Similar collections for the following issues would be well worth exploration. Regarding more mundane issues, thanks for a wonderful package, easy ordering, and speedy delivery. And lest I forget, the stickers! Love 'em. Keep up the good work.

In field crowded with "how to" books, Steve Rude has created a must read book on figure drawing. He emphasizes the fundamentals of gesture and basic forms in a concise, easy to read manner. We are lucky to have an artist and teacher of his stature among us.

Awesome. Really enjoy the blend of great refrence material and instruction in the publication written in Rude style. The spiral binding , vinyl back cover and clear front cover just add the more to it. This is one that will be in the toolbox ready to go as a reference or teaching tool. Thanks Steve for making this a reality....

Everything I ordered arrived quickly and in perfect condition. My only compliant is not being able to select specific issues of the Nexus newspaper strip. Considering each strip is $24.99, I think I should be able to request the strips I'm missing if available. Other than that, I have no complaints with the product(s) or service. These are beautiful, funny and exciting comics. These trade paperback editions are my preferred way to read these comics. There’s so much detail and so many characters! Steve puts so much heart and passion into all his work, but Nexus is his baby. These are great books!

I requested two portraits and asked for them to be drawn together and was notified that the paper size would be larger to accommodate both figures yay! It was packaged very nicely with oversized cardboard and multiple handle with care stickers to ensure safety. Jaynelle was lovely and answered questions I sent her way and updated me throughout the process (when my commission was up next, finished, and if I would like for it to be a surprise). Great experience and amazing art!

The sketchbook, now rightfully named as The Art of Steve Rude, is amazing as ever. All my possessions are currently in boxes so I can't check, but I think this is the first time that it's a non-comic character on the cover, and the image of Alice is terrific. I was able to go through the book before packing, and as always there are images that captured my imagination; unfortunately, I can't cite them here for reason of memory. But I look forward to exploring it again when I finally find its box. I know that Steve holds Star Trek in high regard, and looking at the cover makes me want to haul out the discs and watch "Shore Leave" again. Unfortunately, they're also all in boxes.

And an unrelated noted about the Rude Dude Team: my copy was destroyed in shipping, the box was abused and punctured and the book damaged. I submitted photos and they sent me a replacement straightaway.

For the last couple of years I've order Steve Rude's Annual Arr Sketchbook. I've never been disappointed and this year follows the trend. I bought it along with 3 prints and a mystery book. Not only is the art reproduced gogeously but there is insight into the artistic process.
Rude's distinctive style shines one more time and I kook forward to the 2026 offering.

Most artists leave you as they find you; neither better or worse. The rare ones inspire, instruct, challenge and leave you better than they found you.
