It’s the most wonderful time of year…when your inbox is filled with end-of-year lists! The best-of, the most-read, the year-in-review, and a partridge in a pear tree. This week, SSIR has two special annual lists to share: the most popular SSIR articles and top stories selected by the editors of our SSIR local language editions. Articles on these lists cover topics from climate change to funding cuts, grappling with systems collapse to solving challenges together. They offer a window into the many ways social change leaders stepped forward in 2025 to lead with courage and marshal resources and hope to face the challenging and disruptive times we’re living through.
Also this week, a new feature article in SSIR’s winter issue shares principles for building NGO-government partnerships that effectively scale solutions; a look at the ideologies shaping the future of AI; and strategies for scaling worker ownership in an era of growing economic inequality.—Barbara Wheeler-Bride, SSIR Editor
