There are a ton of misconceptions about homeschooling. My favorite part about homeschooling is that you are allowed to go at your own pace, if you lack in one subject you can focus on that more, if you excel at something you can focus on that more. I am two grades ahead in Math and about four or five in Reading, simply because you are allowed to go at your own pace.
In my opinion, homeschooling is the best choice for education, especially Christian families.
