I was looking through the video you have on the website and had some comments.
First, lets look at a Steve Jobs video I kind of like.
Now looking at your video. The video of you is squashed sideways together and you look too narrow or thin, unnatural.
There is too much background noise on your video. Probably a noisy computer fan running in the background. Color and exposure levels seem good. Looks like you took the wrong video format to submit it in and it was translated wrong by YouTube into .flv Flash video for their site.
You look camera afraid. You do not look comfortable. You do not look calm, relaxed, assured and approachable.
In the video section, you look more like an academic than a person that can help someone through their employment and life problems. In the other section where you are doing a voice over with the text on the screen, there is a completely different emotional content that comes through you voice. You sound emotionally connected, knowledgeable, very capable.
I would like to see you redo the video.
Do six separate 4 minute videos that you can host on YouTube and than link into the site. One on each of your points.
Let your wife run the camera and set up a class somewhere with 4 to 8 students you are lecturing to and taking questions from. Try to find a very quiet place to do this that does not have computer fan noise or air conditioners running.
For each 4 minute video section you will pull from the video for use on YouTube, do the same sort of thing that Jobs did in stating your point (which nobody knows what means at the time) and then illustrating it with a story or two. Every now and then you will get a good question from a student, that when you answer, will flesh out and illustrate the point you are trying to make. I think if you are talking to real people and you have something worthwhile to tell them, the video of this will come out much much better that if you are trying to talk to a camera. Just ignore the camera and shoot more video that you need at the time. The video can always be edited down in size (but is difficult to stretch).
You might even do some of these inside and some outside in a quiet area.
Each of these should be complete in itself. Like a page of Gibran’s “The Prophet”. But do not wait 8 years to publish like he did. They can be easily redone with a newer version and replaced. But they should not be a teaser to get someone to come back or to buy something. Each one should be a complete essay in itself and something that the student can easily remember, go away, and think about how they can utilize this view that they have been exposed to.

functions, but for more formal public events, I would prefer her to wear something more businesslike. ]]>
your words were CLEAR and right to the point so that even a 1st grader could understand the crime and how it all went down..
WE need people like you to help some of us out it appears because they all seem to think its a ” RACE ISSUE”
* sigh*
I can’t believe in the year 2007 we as a country are still this stupid.
THINK WHAT EVERYONE WHO IS OH POOR MICHAEL IS FORGETTING IS DOG FIGHTING IN THIS COUNTRY IS A FELONY “The term felony is a term used in common law systems for very serious crimes, whereas misdemeanors are considered to be less serious offenses. It is principally used in criminal law in the United States legal system”
IN ALMOST EVERY WORK PLACE IN AMERICA HAVING A FELONY ON YOUR RECORD WILL MOST LIKELY HAVE YOUR APPLICATION TOSSED IN THE TRASH WITHOUT A SECOND GLANCE.. HE COMMITTED A FELONY WHETHER YOU ARE PRO MICHAEL OR AGAINST HIM HE HAS COMMITTED A FELONY A FELONY, IF IT WERE YOU OR ME, WE WOULD DO JAIL TIME FOR A FELONY IT WOULD BE ON OUR PERMANENT RECORD AND FINDING A JOB WITH A FELONY ON OUR RECORD WOULD BE HARD, BUT I MUST SAY THE ONE PLACE WHERE YOU CAN FIND PLENTY OF FELONS IS IN THE NFL, SO MAYBE THAT’S WHERE HE BELONGS AFTER HE DOES HIS JAIL TIME FOR COMMITTING A FELONY!!!!!!
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM OTHER FELONS OUT THERE AND LET ME HEAR WHAT JOBS THEY NOW HAVE AND THE CRIMES THEY COMMITTED TO BECOME FELONS, LET ME KNOW HOW YOUR LIFE IS AS A FELON.. I’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU..
Anyone who can cold blooded kill a defenseless animal is capable of killing a human. Black White Brown Yellow Green. This is not a Race Issue ( you all want it to be) BUT its just not, Its a stupidity Issue and also a FELONY in this country, no matter your race IT will still be a FELONY! NO matter your wealth Its still a felony.
THIS man Must be punished for his crime , he must be punished for this felony he was involved in.
I am very worried about the people close to this man in his personal life for I fear for their safety at the hands of by all intentions a killer,. maybe not a killer of a human ( YET) but a killer none the less
]]>It’s a stretch to argue that the feds were after Vick. The case began when Vick’s cousin gave the Bad Newz Kennels as his home address when he was picked up on a drug charge. State officials got a search warrant and went there looking for evidence to build a drug case. Those state cops were the ones who found the dogs and dog fighting paraphenalia. A month later, the feds went in and found additional evidence including buried remains of dogs. At that point, the feds began building their case, and the rest is history. Since Vick’s cousin was not listed in the indictment but lived in Vick’s house in Virginia, it’s a safe bet that he is one of the unnamed cooperating witnesses who will testify against Vick.
Yes, Vick should go to prison. If the indictment against him is accurate (his cohorts’ confessions claim it is), Vick financed the whole operation including gambling money. Since none of the others charged in the indictment had money to pay for such a large endeavor without Vick, none of it would have happened. The indictment and confessions state that Vick crossed state lines so his dogs could participate in dog fighting events. In addition, the indictment and confessions state that Vick took part in hanging and drowning dogs that did not perform well.
Dog fighting does not always result in jail time, Big operators (when they are caught) do go to jail. Currently, the head of a big dog fighting ring in South Carolina is into the 4th year of a 40 year sentence in large part because he was convicted of the same crimes that Vick is accussed of commiting.
