Much that people say or do is misunderstood. In November 2010, British Prime Minister David Cameron, led a delegation to China. Being Remembrance Week, the British contingent were all wearing poppies (a symbol of the battle fields of the First World War) in honour of those who died in war. The Chinese, however, took offence at this honourable gesture because of the poppy’s association with the Opium Wars.
