I have written this a few days ago on livejournal, and it was funny. I guess that is how I will be doing the about page…

DISCLAIMER: eherm, just so you know. i’m not on a bridge camera or dslr. i just carry Renault , my canon ixy 910 is point and shoot. i’m not gonna blather about aperture settings. shutter speeds, white balances and what not. i will not brag about my Nikon d300 with the 70-200 f/2.8 lens because i don’t have one. lol

i am a hobbyist. i am just learning, please feel free to comment and bash at my pictures if you wish. i want to learn. and with learning, i will go through the tough love hahaha. just like when i was doing graphic and web design.

i also got a present. a vivitar wide and slim toy cam, from my photography ‘teacher’/mentor. he thinks i have potential. it’s been *counts* 7 years since i’ve used film. and i’m back to my dad’s old school circa 1987 cam. lol. with this, i have also requested ownership of a smena 8m from an lj friend, which i will be getting in april. :)

This is the place where i will be blathering about aperture and shutter speeds. at the comfort of my own likings. I always wanted to learn photography at a much grander scale but I’m very afraid to be exposed as of yet. Plus, to be linked romantically with one of the great photographers around is really cool, but it made me want to exert even more effort to stand on my own. He teaches me all I know, and I love him dearly for it, and I want to let him know how far I’ve grown on my own.

But, as I said, I am a mere hobbyist, here are my current mediums with me :

The Canon Ixy 910 IS. i love this little p&s camera. it’s an 8mp, 28mm beauty. the colors are sharp, the lighting looks good, and a lot of people mistake the picture quality for a dslr. it’s funny. and how ironic

The Vivitar Ultra Wide&Slim. Joseph gave this to me as a gift. He said I have potential, and it was flattering he thought so. His opinions rank highest in my book. Maybe because I totally respect him as a photographer and love him as a boyfriend :) Nothing to set here but the film and your imagination :)

and lastly, the Canon AV-1 SLR, this is my dad’s old school, but I love it so much, camera from the 1980s. I remember using this as a kid (second grade), while I take really bad (and sometimes good) pictures of family reunions. fast forward 15 years and here I am again, twiddling with it now not only with it’s focus, but also with the other things worth tinkering about (thinks of buying a new lens for it)…hmm

And that’s it I guess. I like photography. And it’s been a while since I got interested in stuff like this so, there we go. Haha.
