Extinction Rebellion Banner

A large banner for the Oxford branch of Extinction Rebellion, used at several events in Oxford and then in London near Marble Arch.
‘Action for Peace’ poster

Poster and flyer design for a weekend event at Braziers Park. We printed this at Oxford GreenPrint using dark blue ink and the new fluorescent PINK ink instead of the orange. Wow it looks eyecatching!
“Routes to Resilience” logo

A logo for the new Oxford-based project “Routes to Resilience” who run workshops exploring ways to improve personal resilience. They often work at the wonderful new community space “Flo’s – the place in the park” located in Florence Park, East Oxford.
Peer Support Network – organisational chart

Organisational chart for a new report by the great chaps at Community Glue.
‘Fatcat bus-operator’ cartoon

Cartoon using some fun new ‘brush tip’ pens for the folks in Manchester fighting for the re-regulation (and maybe the de-privatisation) of buses.
‘Marston Community Gardening’ banner

A 6-foot long banner for Alistair and Rebecca and the other Marston gardeners in that leafy suburb near the centre of Oxford. I had great fun painting this: the “o” is a teapot (so English) and the “y” is a glass of wine, or maybe fresh home-made berry juice. 😉
Finding the balance – a diagram of ‘good’ food
A simple diagram for the “Good Food Cooking Framework” A5 booklet that was written by Good Food Oxford in Spring 2018. The booklet can be downloaded for free from here or from the Good Food Oxford website. There is also a set of A4 resources that accompany the guide here. Below is the cover.
Westmill Wind & Solar Farm – 10th birthday party poster
Poster for the 10th anniversary of Oxfordshire’s trail-blazing Westmill Wind and Solar Farm. WESET have an open day each year – well worth a visit if you are in the area and interested in renewable energy. WESET is a community owned project. This poster was designed to be printed on the risograph printer at Oxford GreenPrint – it looked great on a hummous coloured paper.
‘Keep our NHS Public’ – a banner
A new 7-foot long cloth banner for the tireless campaigners at the Oxford branch of the “Keep Our NHS Public“. Underfunding (Tory cuts), PFI payments (vampire) and back-door privatisation (bats) is squeezing Britain’s greatest institution. Many great people are figting to protect it especially @AllysonPollock @NHSMillion and @DerbyPA . See: https://www.nhsbillnow.org/ The NHS staff continue to do their best in difficult times.
Seed: the untold story – a film poster
Latest poster for the lovely Oxford Permaculture Picturehouse – advertising their latest film “Seed: the untold story“.

Available for work
I like working for good causes that help people, animals or the environment. I do not really work for profit-making groups.
Most of my work has been on climate change, peace and war, human-rights, energy, food, corporate power and sustainable-living.
I can do cartoons, logos, illustrations, diagrams, flyers, posters, reports, carpentry, subverts, signs, photo-montage, props, graphics, costumes, murals and banners. See the gallery pages under the DESIGN and ILLUSTRATION buttons near the top of the page. Occasionally I also enjoy working with dragons, bike-trailers, permaculture and nature-murals.
If you are looking for an illustrator, cartoonist or designer, I may be able to help.
