About
1. This blog
I started this week by interrupting a class on theories of violence to take issue with the lecturer, for reinforcing the traditional/modern divide, which I think is disingenuous. I’m taking the class for ‘fun’ (well, because it relates to my thesis topic), and I hadn’t done the reading (because it was my first time in the class). I ended up taking up about 25 minutes of class time with the argument.
That story tells you almost all you need to know about me.
This is my blog, where I can be even more opinionated without anyone to tell me off. 😛
You can read it if you want.
Seriously, though, I make mistakes. We all do. But part of growing up is learning from them, and not turning into a wreck when things go wrong.
I tend to alienate people because I’m critical and stubborn. Hopefully giving myself an outlet for it will help me work through it, while letting me stay true to myself.
Hence the title of this blog.
In case you were wondering, I was born in South Asia, I live in Australia, and I intend to blog about stuff that often gets dismissed by the mainstream as ‘identity politics’. Stay if you’re willing to respect the space, and me. If not, there’s a whole lot of internet out there for you to find somewhere you can be comfortable.
2. Linking and the blogroll
The blogroll consists of blogs that I read and consider worthy of promotion. It’s not all I read, but the blogs on there are the ones I think are particularly worthwhile.
I won’t do a link exchange with anyone whose blog I don’t read, and who I don’t know. This is a political blog, not a billboard. If you make a comment here asking for a link exchange, I will consider it spam, add your IP address to the spam filter, and delete it.

Hey, Welcome to the ‘blogosphere’ or ‘blogistan’! Yes, we do all indeed make mistakes.
Hehe, blogistan.
I’ve been blogging for a while, but this is my first political blog. If it doesn’t work, at least I have a ready-made excuse! 😛
Welcome friend.
Come to the ‘sphere; stay for the beer. 😉
a-ha! I thought that name looked familiar. 😀
Hello! I’m hiding out in Bloglandia. I’m incognito. Please don’t reveal my True Identity! It’ll make life awfully hard for the Smartness Protection Program.
Wait, does this mean I can’t link to you in links roundup? If you’d prefer me not to, that’s fine, I’m just clarifying.
It’s okay if you do, I’d just rather not have f2f people find this blog.
No worries. 🙂
Checking you out – and am glad I did. Looking forward to reading more of your posts!
So glad Donna Darko introduced me to your blog!
