I purchased an auction that had quite a bit of K & L figures 50+ 1.25” Civil War unpainted figures Thomas Figures & horses by K & L Company and 50+ 1/2” unpainted Thomas K & L figures, horses, 1 cannon, cargo wagon. I don’t have the artistic ability to paint these or the patience’s. If anyone interested in the lot or just one size only I’m will to let them for reasonable price. You can message me or email me and I can send photos. I don’t think I can add photos here, so I left my information.

Looked up my fathers name Charles Hazlett Bland and this article came up. My father is a Zanesville native and most of his family were buried in Woodlawn Cemetery. Father indicated that Hazlett was a family name. Would like to know more.

Scott, this is Mike from NJ. I have the Gettysburg book. I purchased it in 1969 at our book sale in 3rd grade. It was my second civil war I got. I now have over 500 books. In 1970, I took my first trip to Gettysburg. In May,1974, we took our 7th grade class trip to Gettysburg. Part of the trip was to the Dobbin House to see the diorama. I brought the book with me and my friends and I found the soldiers in the pictures. It was lots of fun. I have now been to Gettysburg 76 times. In 2019, I started doing the 2nd Wisconsin infantry (Iron Brigade). I never had enough time to re-enact being self employed, but I have done lots of programs for different organizations. That little book also started me collecting thousands of toy soldiers (1/72 and 54mm)and the Civil War chess and checkers sets. It’s been a great hobby for over 50 years!

Hi Mike! That is such a cool post! Thanks for sharing the information. I have thousands of 15mm metal wargaming figures and loads of terrain and buildings. I still have my 54mm Marx Blue & Gray Centennial playset from my childhood.
