- Vanessa’s Law (2014) – Provided stricter fines for adverse events for pharmaceutical drugs, but left the fine a paltry 5000$ for “natural” products, which allows a gaping loophole for both natural health products companies and pharmaceutical companies to avoid heavy fines for adverse events by having certain products classified as natural products.
