I filled my cart with great deals at JCP*nney online. But didn't order. Now the great deals are not as great :(. Do I wait and hope they get better--knowing they could sell out of the things I want. Or do I just order and get what I want before it is all gone.
These are christmas presents, so...
Sigh...sometimes being a procrastinator sucks.

Rain Rain Go Away--or at least wait till I finish MOWING!
My yard didn't get mowed last weekend. I think it was because hubby had a cold, but I really can't remember what else happened over the weekend. I probably could have mowed, if I had thought about it. But I didn't. Fast forward to today. The lawn is really long, given that we have had a good mix of rain and sun to allow optimal growing of not just the grass, but weeds of all varieties. Including the thistles. I wanted to spray them last night (yes I have resorted to spraying), but the spray said "for best results mow first." Well drat. So I thought I would mow today, before the rain that was to come after 4 pm.
4 pm in which time zone? Because it was not even 2 pm and I was not even half way done with the mowing of the really long weeds when the rain started. It eventually got to heavy to mow in (and I worried I might have done some permanent damage to the mower, since it is non-amphibious), so I had to stop.
Annoyingly, it is not even 4 yet, and the rain has passed for the time being. It did, however, dump enough on my yard that I cannot go out and finish what I started! I will have lopsided yard for a least a bit...

Beading
Made a few more jewelry items. These were donated to Craft for a Cause--a one day crafting retreat to raise money for charity. It was organized by my MOMS Club, and this was my small contribution for hourly prize drawings

I really like this set. I would never wear the earrings, I don't wear anything that big anymore, but the set came out quite nicely!

This is the first set of wine charms I have made. I honestly didn't realize I had the rings to make them. These were quick and easy. I could have made them more complicated, but I was pushing it time wise as it was!

Didi you know...
There are no clocks in Targ*t? I mean, no clocks to tell you the time, they sell clocks, of course, but who knows if any of them have the correct time. I couldn't find a single clock to tell me what time it was. That meant I spent way too long inside the store. Sigh.
(got some deals, but wasted a lot of time!)

Sometimes
I get annoyed because I can't find things in my house. And I know I have no one to blame but myself. Seriously, the house isn't that big! Where on earth do these things go?

Why do I do this?
Lately I have been, for some reason, reading lots of blogs about children with terminal illnesses, or parents with tragic circumstances, or families with children who passed away.
I do this late at night.
And then I try to go to sleep.
Do you see the problem?
Here are a few, just in case you are wondering what I am talking about:
Madeline (I LOVE the pictures of this little girl. LOVE them. Those HUGE blue eyes!)
Anissa and Here
Tuesday
From there, of course, you can go to other blogs about other kids who have other illnesses.

My Microwave
Went poof. Well, really it went more of a "EERRRRRFFF," and then died. Sigh.
We don't microwave a lot. But I do use it for hot water every morning to make oatmeal. And for tea.
I'll be in the market for a new on this weekend...but I'm going to buy a new tea kettle today. I have two in the house--one has a melted spigot, the other has something weird going on that makes it smell and makes the water taste a bit off.
bother.
