Hey Mike,
I came across a reference to myself on your blog (but it’s Simon and not Robert) through my book on monetary targeting. Just curious about how you came across my book.
Cheers,
Simon Guttmann.
Hi Simon,
Sorry, I mixed up your name with the American monetary theorist! Fixed now.
To be honest I can’t remember exactly where I heard about your book but I got it on inter-library loan from the National Library soon after it was published. It’s hard to find, I heard you ran into some trouble with a certain ex Treasury Secretary. I was looking for stuff that carried on the story from Schedvin’s history of the central bank to 1975. It’s a great book, any plans to bring out a new edition?
Hey,
Thanks for this blog, I was searching for things on Perry Anderson and this was the first thing that came up. Specifically Anderson’s In the Tracks of Historical Materialism, so that’s a little weird but alright I suppose.
I’m at University of Sydney as well, not long from finishing off my PE in undergrad.
All the best.
