I live in a house in Scotland with a lovely man, a beautiful rescue dog called Penny, some cheeky chickens and lots of yarn and fabric.

I like to knit, crochet, sew clothes and quilts, cook, grow things and be outside. Am just starting some new adventures in keeping plants alive indoors too. I really like cake.

I get asked lots of questions about my lovely dog-buddy Penny. She is definitely not a pure breed, we rescued her in November 2009, aged 5(ish). Previously Penny belonged to a lady who she loved, but her owner couldn’t look after her properly for health reasons and kept her permanently indoors. Since becoming part of our family the novelty of outside-walkies has never worn off! She’s a mixture of many things – a little beagle, terrier, greyhound, lab and mischief…
