Saywhatkid's Observations and Drivel

I am a 55 year old man, raised in the southern Twin Cities area of Minnesota. I am hearing impaired, but can still hear some sounds and understand some voices. I was not this way until the late 1980’s, when I lost 95% of my hearing in my right ear overnight as I slept. My left ear is being affected by Meniere’s disease, an inner ear affliction that has no cure. I currently have moderate to severe loss in my left ear, but the sound spiral is heading downward. Van Gogh was thought to have had Meniere’s disease when he sliced his own ear off, in an attempt to gain some sort of temporary, albeit crazed, relief from the symptoms. I fully intend to keep both of my earlobes, or my reading glasses would keep slipping….
