I’m quite anxious to see this as I learned a lot just from the comments you left here and there on Abagond. There were a number of policies that you mentioned such as neighbourhood containerisation and redlining, the former I had not even heard about. Policies that began to answer questions I’d had that had only ever been greeted by others with stupid superstitions like the debunked Willie Lynch theory and other folk tales that only deal in Black pathology, pseudo psychology and victim blaming. Much of the rhetoric you hear the African diaspora is parroting from African Americans parroting U.S. right wing talking points.

This could be a really great vehicle as a myth buster. It’s also important because I remember how many times I looked on from across the pond at young BLM activists standing before engaging politicians being asked what they’d specifically like in terms of creating or undoing policy and time and time again the answer was a version of “I don’t know anything about policy, I’m just young and learning.” Which is almost unforgivable for anyone who assumes a leadership role in a political movement being taken seriously enough to have the opportunity to sit and talk with a potential president. And I don’t care how politically correct I’m being in saying this.

Interesting you should mention this, as we were just having this conversation. My husband and I are going to have to begin collecting shows with Black casts from the 90’s for when we try to get pregnant in the future. Every time I see a commercial for a new kids show on Disney channel or Nickelodeon I think, where has all the diversity gone. They’re all straight up White. Not one show geared toward children of colour. It makes me appreciate how good I had it as a child. It often strikes me, while things have moved forward in many ways they’re leaped backwards in others. It’s so strange.

But it seems to have proven profitable for many a content creator. You just gotta get a recipe going and milk it.

Refresh my memory as to what you’re referencing as it pertains to that exchange, it was so long ago, now. I think we had two arguments. Or one big one that spanned two sections on the site. Lol. One thing I do remember is that I should not have gotten frustrated and cursed him out. It only served to reinforce the narrative he’s created for himself to inoculate himself from criticism regarding his fetishism and relentless condescension, and to simply redirect and refraim it as an attack on his interracial marriage. Why, How Republican of him. How Fox News. I was almost Outfoxed. I won by the end of my reposting all his past comments to women on the site back at him in the open thread section.
