Diversity and Creativity
This blog site was originally intended to detail the trials and travails of adjusting to life in California after growing up in Saskatchewan. I recently created a new site about my hobbies and creative works. Check it out if you're interested in that sort of stuff: Creative Engines.

Dave Arneson R.I.P.
Dave Arneson, the co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, has passed away due to cancer. Dave created the first campaign called Blackmoor and later worked with Gygax to create the original Dungeons and Dragons.
Dave Arneson's Wikipedia Entry
Gary Gygax himself passed away last year due to heart failure.
Like Gary Gygax, I'm glad I got the opportunity to meet with Dave Arneson a couple of years back at GenCon and thank him for the work he did that inspired such a fascinating and creative social dynamic.

A New Place to Blather
Long time no blog! There's two main reasons for this; first off is that work's been crazy and any downtime is spent doing other things to relax. The second is that I've been mostly drawn into an even easier way to post events to share with people: Facebook. I don't tend to write personal essays for the world to see, so having a place where I can restrict my expositions to trusted friends works out much better for me. Plus I can post pictures and notes from my iPhone - technology rocks!
So if you're looking for more frequent updates from me, jump on Facebook and look me up. It's kinda creepy at first because you have all kinds of friends, family, and schoolmates coming out of the woodwork after a decade to get back in touch with you - it's like a cult. The important thing is to only let people you trust connect with you, don't put any information on their you don't mind getting out occasionally, and learn to love the "Block this Application" option from people if you're not in to getting a tonne of app requests.

Doctor Strange Movie!
Yes, they're talking about making a Doctor Strange movie again!
MTV Interview
They'd talked about it before between with the buzz of Neil Gaiman writing it and Guillermo Del Toro directing it, then Del Toro went on to do Hellboy II and is working on "The Mountains of Madness".
Fan-freakin'-tastic!
