Defending Veritas
at Harvard
The Harvard Salient is Harvard's undergraduate journal of conservative thought. We fight to restore Harvard's traditions of free speech, intellectual rigor, and open debate. Through our publication, campus headquarters, and sponsored events, The Harvard Salient is the homebase for conservative students, alumni, and faculty dedicated to combating the ideological capture of our campus.

"...a group of Harvard students describes the current atmosphere at the university in the first issue of the recently revived publication called the Salient. I was excited to receive my copy the other day."
Bloomberg | Naomi Schaefer Riley
"Yet the editors...have come together on a different basis, using what feels like the civic-philosophical language of the Founders rather than contemporary partisan political rhetoric. Their writing is reflective, their spirit affirmative, and their intellectual independence confident."
WSJ Opinion | Ruth R. Wisse
"...a group of classics-oriented conservatives are attempting to revive the Western canon and inject contemporary conservatism with intellectual substance."
The Harvard Crimson | Editorial Board
"Complying with all of the college's various policies is so onerous that the Salient...rents office and event space off-campus rather than relying on university facilities."
National Review | Alexander Hughes
"…the Salient exposes our classmates to questions and ways of thinking—in other words, a worldview—with which they are familiar only through unflattering portraits painted by liberal media and professors."
City Journal | Lexi Boccuzzi

The Harvard Salient Headquarters
8 Eliot Street, Cambridge, MA 02138
What began as a modest third-floor space has since grown into a three-story presence in the heart of Harvard Square. Each floor serves a unique purpose in the life of our organization, from recruitment meetings and editorial sessions to formal dinners and guest speaker events. In a campus environment that often feels inhospitable to conservative voices, the Harvard Salient Headquarters is a home to free thought and bold ideas.
