I noticed that you, Ruth, fought back with the cool calculated calmness that sharply contrasted with Idiot Rape Tree blogger. That technique is always useful when trying to make a jerk look like an even bigger jerk.

Regarding Idiot Rape Tree bloggers original post, I can understand her sentiments about the underwear up in a tree. True, we do not know if the wind blew them up there. However, you raised that all too important point that she did not do much research on the actual victims’ accounts. Unfortunately, I have actually heard these horrific retellings from women I had worked with in factories (two to be exact) while I was attending school during the day and working at night. Of course, they did not outright tell me these things within my first week of work. I had worked alongside them for more than 2 years, and talking is the only way to keep your mind off of how much your feet hurt after 10 hours of standing.

Yes, they were illegal immigrants working under false identification.

This is where I agree with you Ruth, even if the rape tree is not real, rape is VERY real among illegal immigrant women crossing the border. I have seen their eldest child, the one that does not look like the others and who’s age is far from their other siblings’. Forget the rape tree, I have witnessed the rape children. They do not know their father, and never will because he is some perverted criminal doing his bidding to other young women crossing the border.

In short, Idiot Rape Tree blogger devoted her blog to the question of how those panties got up in the trees interlaced with her sentiments about illegal immigration. Meanwhile, I, as a reader think of the question as meaningless to the solution of a deep rooted problem of rape.
