Types of Roulette online
If you want to play roulette online, you first have to choose which variant to play. There are many different variants of this traditional table game. While they all look the same at first glance, they differ from each other in terms of bet types, payouts and house edge, which will significantly affect your overall experience. Roulette type:Originated in 18th century France. It is the original version of the game with a single house pocket (0) on the wheel. For the same reason, it is called “single zero roulette”. It includes standard bets, but in some games, you can also find racetrack bets. It is the most common (and easiest) variant of the game.
Originated in the mid-19th century in New Orleans. It has two house pockets (0 and 00) on the wheel. It is known as “double zero roulette” and has the lowest RTP among the basic variants for the same reason. There is a special type of bet called “Basket”. This bet covers 5 numbers (0, 00, 1, 2, 3) and pays 8 to 1.
The version of the game played in some French casinos in the late 18th century. It is basically the same as European roulette but played according to La Partage or En Prison rules. These rules either refund the player half of the bet on even money bets that are lost because the result is 0 or count them as valid in the next round. Therefore, it is the variant with the highest RTP.
Other Roulette types
A game developed for the small screens of mobile devices and offered under this name by many studios. There are only 13 numbers on the wheel and a single house pocket. For this reason, it does not include some basic bet types and pays a maximum of 11 to 1.
A single zero roulette game, but two balls are thrown to the wheel at the same time. This creates new bet types and payouts, such as a bet about both balls will land in the same pocket. The RTP of the game is the same as European roulette.
One ball, eight wheels: you can try your luck on multiple single zero wheels with a single bet. Winning a bet on more than one wheel pays more, and you can try your luck on the racetrack bets, too. And even with multiple wheels, the RTP stays the same as European roulette.
The wheel contains no 0 (house pocket) – there are only 36 numbers. This eliminates the house edge, but there is a catch: a 2% rake is cut from all payouts (i.e., if you win 100 rupees, you will be paid 98 rupees). No additional bets or multiplier payouts.

If your first bet of ₹100 loses, your next bet would also be ₹100 (1+0). If that bet also loses, your next bet would be ₹200 (1+1). The idea is to gradually increase your bets, hoping to recoup losses over time.
This strategy is less aggressive than Martingale but still requires a careful approach to bankroll management.
The D’Alembert strategy is a more conservative approach, where you increase your bet by one unit after a loss and decrease it by one unit after a win. This strategy is less risky and is often favored by players with smaller bankrolls.
If you start with a ₹100 bet and lose, your next bet would be ₹200. If you win, you decrease your next bet back to ₹100.
