This is the fourth scarf on one warp. I had about five inches to spare on the warp. Next I have a LOT of fringe twisting to do.

More on the same warp. This one is Noro Silk Garden and my favorite so far of six on the same warp yarns. I love the Monet’s garden look of the color changes.

50 inches done on the second scarf. 22 to go. This one has a thicker singles yarn for the weft so I am using a stick shuttle. It’s turning out a lot darker than I expected from the skeins. Should be interesting when I full it.

Moving right along. This update should have gone up a few days ago. I’ve finished the first scarf, added two spacers for fringe and started the second.

This is the header for the first scarf on my new warp. I have always used bulky fabric scraps to spread out my warp and space the fringe. For this one I am trying strips of poster board. I cut the first one 6 inches because I can borrow a bit of length from the two picks of header fabric. For the rest, I will use 8 inches for each fringe.

And here is a closeup of the weaving

This alpaca sock yarn is the next scarf weft. I haven’t quite finished the threading but maybe tonight. Then it has to wait until Tuesday when I will have another free day to work.
Sett: 12epi, 192 ends, 16 inches wide
each scarf will be 72 inches woven in the loom

I’m dressing the loom for the next set of scarves. The warp is more of my estate sale cones. Random order of black, cream, brown and tan. I planned enough warp for four scarves. The first will be shades of blue, green and purple in alpaca sock yarn.

These are a set that I did for Christmas presents. The gold one went to no.2 son and I ended up keeping the reddish one for myself.
The warp was a random sett of four wool yarns from a weaver’s sale that I went to in Lansing. The weft is alpaca sock yarn from Skeins on Main. I have put on another warp for four more scarves so more to come…

This is the 48″ Cranbrook Countermarche loom that I bought last summer. So far, I have mostly done small tabby projects as I find the simple threadings and treadlings better for my skill level and I really enjoy just throwing the shuttle without having to worry about following a pattern. Just have to remember to change colors at the right time.
