Thu, 14 Oct 2010 22:16:32 +0000https://riversandcommunities.wordpress.com/?p=13#comment-198I think this helps point out the fact that community level mechanisms are a far more worthwhile venture than top down climate change adaption strategies as different communities will have bespoke needs.

Hello
I am from Ethiopia, PhD soil student in Haramaya University in the
department of Agriculture.
In our country Prosopis Juliflora came before ten years a go and now
for our postural area a big problem.
Now I went to studies on” effect of Prosopis Juliflora on salt
affected soil ’’ but I have not a good information about this type
plant species.
Please, if it is possible and you have any information about prosopis
help me by attaching softcopy.
Thank you.

Fri, 13 Nov 2009 18:35:47 +0000https://riversandcommunities.wordpress.com/?p=303#comment-144Apologies i am not commenting on the article above. I am an admin in a large facebook group called Help Keep Bangladesh Afloat and we want to start a letter campaign next week to mp’s mep’s etc requesting that Bangladesh gets a high profile and is seen and listened to at the Copenhagen talks.
Within this letter we would like to put links to informative videos about Bangladesh in relation to Climate Change.
I think you maybe behind this particular video and want permission to include the link in our letter.
Bangladesh please for action on climate change …
Kindest regards
Christine

MFR is partnering with BRAC in Bangladesh where 100% of funds contributed will go to those affected by Cyclone Aila.
More information about BRAC: BRAC has provided emergency aid and rehabilitation in Bangladesh since its inception and carried out large-scale relief and rehabilitation activities there for cyclone and flood victims in 1987, 1988, 1991, 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2007. BRAC, the largest non-profit in the developing world, was launched in Bangladesh in 1972 and today reaches more than 110 million people in Africa and Asia with its holistic approach to addressing poverty by providing micro-loans, self-employment opportunities, health services, education and legal and human rights education. https://www.brac.net/usa/index.php
Thank you for your support!
And forward this information to spread the word.
