I just measured my pulse. In 15 seconds my heart beat 13 times. As far as I know the standard for checking a heart rate is to count the beats for 15 seconds and then multiply the total by 4 (15*4 = 60). Presumably 15 seconds is a more accurate measure than 10, but it might also be easier for people to multiply by 4 than by 6. Maybe not though, they still make kids memorize multiplication tables right?

To get to the point, (I write before inserting a comma and text in parentheses) my resting heart rate is apparently 52. I was under the impression that this is a good heart rate for a healthy person who exercises regularly. In me I think that it might be a bad thing since typically my rate is above 80 bpm. In fact I’d been monitoring it lately and my average is 80. So this is a pretty steep dive. You die if your heart can’t pump enough blood to keep your brain happy right? argh I’m coughing now. Am I dying while writing this? Well that would be a waste of my last moments so:
