Hello. I would like to make these hats for some of my old lady friends. These would be great for them to wear with their dresses on Sunday to church and other nice places. This hat has an elegant look to it. How do I print out the patterns? I really want to make these. Great job and designing on your part. Keep going!
Betty
Thank you!
I can see how the lavender hat would work with Sunday outfits. The starburst hat is smaller and looks like a stocking cap when worn. But if you make it slightly looser (and maybe longer) than the instructions it could be a proper cloche. To print it out just click on the pattern title to get to the pattern page. You can print from your browser, or copy the text into MS Word or other text software. Let me know if you need any help deciphering the pattern.
Thanks Rina,
you pointed me in the direction of that great site with ‘how to’ crochet videos. Ta. I might actually be able to tackle the toddler beanie with mods to this pattern of yours!
Ah Ha, the joy of blogging….you always seem to find what you need.
Thanks again.
Years ago someone made me a hat similar to your hep hat but with a larger brim and a little ball on the top. I was given the directions but got confused at a certain part. I read your directions but got confused right away with “front post double crochet”. What does front post mean? Thanks.
