The Research and Computing sector (RC) is responsible for all aspects of research, including the LHC and the non-LHC programmes, as well as for scientific computing. Its activities include participation in and provision of support to CERN-based experiments and other approved projects, research in theoretical physics, detector R&D, and development and operation of the computing infrastructure and services.
