About WSU Pullman
Our flagship (founded 1890) and largest campus (16,449 students, fall 2024), WSU Pullman features a beautiful, state-of-the-art campus, more than 200 undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs, Pac-12 sports, leading research and arts-based programs, and a student experience offering nearly unlimited opportunities.
The campus is located in the city of Pullman, about 75 miles south of Spokane and nestled in the rolling hills of southeastern Washington known as the Palouse. WSU Pullman combines a small-town community with all the benefits of a major research university.

Enriching campus life
The campus is a hub for most of the university’s student organizations, including its athletic teams, as well as galleries, performance venues, and museums dedicated to art, anthropology, zoology, and other topics.
WSU Pullman is largely residential; 40 percent of undergraduate students live in residence halls or university-owned apartments.
Modern facilities, high-tech capabilities
Major new facilities include the Taylor Sports Complex, a new indoor practice facility, and the Plant Sciences Building, a modern research facility and collaborative space for scientists and students.
