I am a creative. My identity has morphed since I first began this blog in October 2007. Blogging used to be THE creative outlet for me. Now it is visual art. Photography and digital art. Creating it is my passion and my joy. So if any of my old friends are still around, you’ll notice a change here. I still like to write, and I’m still a psychotherapist, but mostly you will find images which I hope will touch you in some way… or just brighten your day. I will also be adding some quotes and notes, and hopefully find new friends as well. Cheers!

I researched your website for a reference for my college paper i am writing on prayer vs medicine and when the legal system should draw a line. Your story was great help to me and good luck with your lupus i feel prayer and medicine is the way to go. lol

Ahhhh, a therapist.
I started seeing two therapists in the VA system when my son-in-law was killed in action.
Eventually (all on my own) I started my blog. I found that to be the most theraputic for me. To be able to look back on my writings and see (in spite of the tragedy) there was a lot of good too.
I’m no trained writer but I do find that it helps me.

mssc54: you write beautifully. If anyone in your family is suffering from traumatic symptoms, you might want to look into EMDR. It is powerfully effective and provides amazing relief.

Psychscribe: I am encouraged and amazed at how similarly our views are: the mind/body connection; the writing and counselor aspects; and even the Maine coon cats!!! We have six cats presently, but one of our most beloved was our Maine coon cat, who passed away two years ago; we still feel the loss of him deeply. I am so refreshed and inspired to read your positive outlook……… I will be back, for sure!!! Peace, Vanessa

Yes we certainly do have a lot in common, also the state that we live in 🙂 I’m sorry about the loss of your cat. They so become our children, don’t they….

Hi loved your quote about “the present”. I’d like to use it in an art project but don’t know your name and I’d like to cite the author. Could you please email me. Many thanks.
Hi Jane, how very nice of you to ask. Please just mention Psychscribe at this address and that would be great.
