At Providence Manor, we are committed to providing compassionate and respectful care for residents and their families, based on   catholic values and the beliefs of our Founders’, the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul. You will be cared for as a person with
unique physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.

Providence Care’s long-term care services are offered at Providence Manor, a 243-bed home located in the heart of downtown Kingston. We provide 24-hour nursing care for residents with stable medical conditions who require daily support in a safe and compassionate environment.

Our interdisciplinary care teams work closely together to ensure your comfort and safety throughout your care journey.

Accommodation Options

We offer basic, semi-private, and private rooms within our 243-bed facility. Most rooms are private and share a washroom with an adjoining room.

Please note: While lounges, dining rooms, and hallways are climate-controlled, individual room air conditioning is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority given to residents with medical needs. To request a window air conditioner, please call 613-548-7222 ext. 3180.

About Providence Manor

Scent Sensitive Environment

For the safety and comfort of those with allergies and scent sensitivities, please do not wear scented products or bring scented flowers when you come to Providence Manor. Local florists are able to suggest no-scent floral options. Scented personal products include shampoos and conditioners, hairspray, deodorants, colognes and aftershaves, perfumes and lotions.

Smoke and Vape Free

In accordance with the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, smoking and vaping is not permitted inside the Home or while using oxygen. Residents are prohibited from smoking or vaping anywhere other than in the designated smoking areas located in the Haughian Garden on level 1 and the gazebo at the corner of Ordnance Street, or off Providence Manor property (not within 9 meters of any entrance). In order to access the designated areas, residents must be independent and able to go out unaccompanied. We also encourage smokers to participate in smoking-reduction or cessation programs. Visitors are prohibited from smoking or vaping on Providence Manor property or within 9 meters of any entrance. Violators are subject to fines and disciplinary action.
