Hah! For once you linked us to a band I’ve heard of. I love The Smithereens, although I’ve never done a really deep dive on them. This cut was new to me and it was fabulous!

I am currently trying to find to poems that my mother wrote in 1946 and 1948. She is still alive at 94 but has dementia. She never told us that she wrote poetry in high school. It was published in “National High School Poetry Association” published in the anthology of high school poetry for the year 1946 and 1948. But I did not realize they had regional associations. This may be like looking for a needle in a haystack!

And I love your Potpourri, look forward to every episode. Thanks!
