Portwiture (2009—2023)
Portwiture was a mashup of Flickr and Twitter I made back in 2009. It fetched recent tweets from any public username, and used the contents as keywords to search Flickr for related photos. It looked like this:
I’ve never made money from Portwiture, and updates have been few and far between in the 14 years since its debut. When Twitter announced its intentions in 2023 to require payment for API access, I decided it was time to retire the experiment.
