i haven’t had any agility posts in a while. i was sick for a couple months, but mom says i’ve gained wait and am doing much better. so we started class a couple weeks ago….
and it’s been interesting.
first of all, this is me in the back yard. i’m hunting cats. i don’t really enjoy practicing agility at home. there are too many things to protect everyone from!

last week baily, the dog that stares at me, wasn’t there. i did much better without her. i don’t like the dog much, and mom doesn’t really like her mom. apparently the lady said something about me…
anyway….last night. oh wow. coyotes. you could see them from the course. they were standing outside the drive way calling. i was so scared i kept squeaking. and mom was so scared i was going to go after them. so the first part of the class….was a mess. the teacher says i was screwing up because mom was a nervous wreck….which she was. one of them came up to the fence half way through class. and i could smell them in the air. it was very hard to focus. but i did ok. it helped having two of our friends there, cheering us on!
then! thennnn! the teach made us do the channel weaves for the first time since she had us make our own and taught us to use them. “whoooo’s been practicing?” mom kind of raised her hand. but not confidently. her poles were only set 4 inches apart. we haven’t practiced that close.
i went first.
i rocked it.
mom almost fell over.
it was cool. now she thinks i’ve been practicing in the backyard when she’s not looking.
every time i did well mom would run me over to my friends that were clapping and chanting “yayyy cody bearrrr!”
wag wag wag!
p.s. if you want to see me and my baby sister practicing, go here.
